This is exactly what I have been looking for! I have an ancient laptop that had F2 and F3 as the brighness control keys, and when I upgraded it to Windows 10 they were no longer supported. Tried multiple applications and fixes, but this was by far the easiest and simplest route to solve it.

Try Twinkle Tray, useful and easy to use application for Windows 10 and 11. I have areally old TFT LCD monitor with VGA cable and has optional DDC/CI which enables apps to control the Brightness, Contrast and the inbuilt speakers of the monitor. It's much better

NOMone Desktop for Linux and VR is a good new alternative. You have all you need to install and run Ubuntu in one integrated application. In NOMone Desktop Settings, you can enable/disable audio, enable 16-bit color for better performance on older devices, and you can also enable hardware acceleration to try Blender but it is not stable yet. Fortunately, NOMone Desktop is well maintained and a better/stable support is to be expected soon isA.

Thank you very much for sharing this step-by-step VS Code Python setup on Chromebook! I started learning Python coding and followed some on KZbin but failed. Yours is the only instruction that made my old Lenovo Chromebook Duet be able to use VS Code.
