Incredible, The power of nature, love the mud slowing up the flow then the tidal wave can be seen coming meters away, better than any Hollywood movie.

What is downstream from the dam? Can you give another camera angle?
@HotelPapa10013 сағат бұрын
The location of the drop is 46.309680°S, 7.633301°E. Google maps will tell you more. This is right before the Illgraben goes under the road and then flows into the Rhone river.

If anyone knows the approximate size of Stony Mastoc, please reply and let me know. I have no idea if I am watching a minatature creek or a humungous river. Apologies, but I truly need a reference. Thanks! This is fun to watch and learn from--but PLEEZE a frame of reference for size!

I love these videos Pierre! It was because of these that I visited the bridge when I went through in summer 22. I need to go back when its bad weather so I can watch a flow in action.

I wonder how deep that initial drop off is compared to the “river”channel, because the huge boulders disappear beneath the surface for a while then get pushed up to the “river” bed. I love this stuff! It’s just like watching volcanoes and lava.

Please can you give us an idea of scale. Having never been there it’s hard to appreciate how tall the wall is, so I cannot gauge the size of Stony. ❤
@Skunk1063 күн бұрын
In other videos, he puts some size and weight estimates on some boulders. My best guesstimate based on those previous boulder descriptor tags is that the concrete structure is at least 15-20 meters wide at the channel bottom. Many of the medium to large boulders are 30-50+ tons. Stony must be 70-100+ tons, but I could be wrong. If I'm wrong or anybody knows the actual dimensions please help us out and post them.
@pierre-emmanuelzufferey14703 күн бұрын
Hello, the hole concret structure is 20+ meters. the ground of the channel builded by the wall is 10+ meters. Stony Mastock is 4 m long, front 2,5x2. Is a 35+ tons kind boy.
