I think what really caused Jiren to lose was the shows writers and the script they wrote. It's also almost like these aren't real people but just depictions of people being controlled by the shows artists and writers. 🤔 Then again, I could be way off.

There are two things that make this the absolute peak of Dragon Ball for me. At the start of the arc, I kind of rolled my eyes at them doing the villain redemption thing for literally the 10th time with Frieza. But they toe the line perfectly-he remains an evil bastard who would only help if he had absolutely no other option. So, they give him no other option. The second thing is that I’ve always considered Goku’s trust and naivety to be his biggest character flaw. When he lets Frieza live at the end of the Namek saga, his actions would have led to the death of everyone he knows and loves, if not for the unexpected arrival of Trunks. But that comes full circle here. No one else in the universe would keep their word to resurrect Frieza except Goku. And Frieza knows this. In a weird way, he has absolute trust in Goku’s integrity-enough to stake his life on it.

2 Stand out slips, although subtle, Frieza respecting Goku by calling him "Saiyan" instead of "Monkey", and the look on Vegeta's face when he sees Goku and Frieza working together. Subtle and well done

I feel like Cell is more careless as a villain. Plus he probably wouldn’t be able to fathom the amount of power they were able to gain during his passing.

I feel like they wouldn't have been able to control Cell they way they did Frieza. Cell is much harder to kill and has the unlimited power potential of the Saiyans. Reviving Cell would've been a costly mistake.

His power level can be surpassed and beaten into submission, but being able to keep on fighting when his enemies were ready to pass out has always been THE THING the androids did that made them dangerous.
