2:03 I just happened to notice that the floor design looks like the Star of David. Did you intended for that or was it just a cool design and you didn't realize it looked like something else? I think it looks cool either way I was just curious.
@Mgsgenesis4 күн бұрын
I just liked the design of it :) didnt want a plain floor lol
@themysterylady8424 күн бұрын
@@Mgsgenesis Because plain floor is plain, I understand completely. XD

Yeah, was to much surface area with nothing going on, so thought a nice floor pattern would help that

@@Mgsgenesis It looks really good, I like the pop of blue. And I like the rainbow pattern that you put on some of your buildings it's a nice stand out feature without it being directly in your face.

Great exploration of this beautiful building! I especially like how you paid lots of attention to realistic infrastructure for getting around and between the floors - nicely detailled staircases and walkways. And one thing I've never seen done in this way before is the concrete frame structure spanning over the production machines to connect the power wires - putting deserved emphasis on the fact that these machines need electricity to function and making the frame a feature in and of itself, almost like holding a group of machines together in a package.
@MgsgenesisАй бұрын
Thanks man :) yeah i like having the wires on show somehow, specially for machines making parts

@Mgsgenesis Your dialogue is kinda broken up with large gaps, and the rails of the camera movement are weird clipping through walls and not very smooth etc.
@MgsgenesisАй бұрын
Yeah the dialogue was last minute and due to my office being near my daughters room, i had to rush doing the voice over and then applying the auto into the segments, but will work on that for the next showcase. And yeah i think it was only one part of the video the camera clipped, going through the door.

This has saved me from a complete meltdown. I built a duel track with track switches at the entrance and exit of each station for a passing siding, but for the life of me couldn't figure out how to set up the signals to make it work properly. It was mostly cause I didn't understand what makes the path signal different from the block one or how to set it up properly

Love the attention to detail and plausibility of these factories. Drive up in your Explorer to do some preventative maintenance. Get your kit from the trunk, hop up the stairs, do a factory walk-through. The only comment about narration is the accent pronunciation of “barrel”. Google's auto closed caption is admittedly horrible as a general rule, but in this instance it matched exactly what my ears heard, even though I first listened without caption. “Welcome to Bowel Tech”, as we pull up to a factory with a big black-ringed hole on the side. “Wait, what? >_>”.
@MgsgenesisАй бұрын
🤣 damn, i hadnt thought about that, And i tried to be clear as i could when saying barrel 🤣🤣

Also, for 10°, you can just use the catwalk on a catwalk, 1 click is 10° for catwalk, 5° for foundation. There used to be a way to get 1° using a jump pad to set the internal rotation, then just place the foundation, but I can't get it to work right any more. 5° or 10° is fine for most use cases but 1° or less might be handy in big structures or fine-tuning detail work.
@Warp9pnt9Ай бұрын
Skip the 2nd foundation by snapping the catwalk to the bottom edge of the first (rotated) foundation, then snap to catwalk.

Thank you for this tutorial. I'm new to Satisfactory and just put up my first train. Laying the tracks was a pain ascending in a inconsistent curve out of the SE oil area up to the aluminum area to its NW. I haven't figured out how to reliably snap over corners ahead of curving, so fell back to jumping from one level of squares to the next. I note that you build your curves instead of using blueprints. Getting blueprints to snap is especially painful/inconsistent. Would greatly appreciate any advice for how to reliably snap. CTRL doesn't do it. How are you positioning and what are you looking for please?

Is there any pros or cons to use the roundabout vs just a standard 4-way junction you showed in the previous video?

Its hard to say. Each have there issues, It depends on how many trains you have. Round abouts could slow them down

@MgsgenesisАй бұрын
There isnt a cutscene for finding the base? The base is the ship that they fly out to and blow up?
@tearnimale6945Ай бұрын
@Mgsgenesis When you research the outsider shard, there's a scene where they connect it to the satellite systems and they have to switch to thermal and Central says "Gotcha," that's them finding the alien Base. Competing the base is what triggers the XCOM base defense mission

Yeah, pipe floor holes are still bugged in 1.0. They have been ignoring these bugs for years. Sometimes you need to re-place the floor hole to get them to work, but at this point I'm so tired of the bugs that I just run pipes through floors without the hole.
