For a spiral radius of 10 foundations (including the center block) using 45 degree increments- Each 45 degree section will be 14 meters in height difference, using a 2 meter ramp on top of that 14 meters. Connect the rails in the center of the 2 meter ramp. This creates a seamless transition between sections. Since it is based on 2 meter ramps, the train can maintain good speed going up. I just happen to figure this out yesterday. Have fun.

Yeah the road and train line is a long build, but is do able, I am trying to find a way to make it quick and simplier

You can put tracks 2 on a 2 foundation path, with no collision or signal overlap issues. You can make a tighter corkscrew on 3rd foundation from center (2nd outside center). Possible, totally functional, but very janky looking. I had the constraint of a very tight space and had to cram in the minimum spec possible. Can cover it up with a wall and just have some windows to reveal movement yet hide the jank. ;-)

Yeah you can, its all preference, Ive alwayd ran a 3 foundation wide track above my roads so used to doing it that way 🤣

If you put a 1M incline/decline prior to a 2M incline/decline it nullifies any gap.

I did end up making something far more complicated than this with a octagonal spiral tower for my "Midgar" giant slab in the sky. It's perfectly fine not to decorate your tower, but making a walled Octagon tower is a bigger time sink, but an impressive flex. If i ever feel the need to improve my incline, (which is not a full 2 meter slope like yours) I would likely try this out. I would have to rebuild shinra tower/(factory) and the mako genorators as well as several minor details of my base so while it's 30% slower to collect supplies from the slums that's a lot of work to improve train speeds on the climb up.

Oh, I'm interested in your take on level crossings for vehicles and foot travel. I've used a 1 meter blacktop ramp and slab in the center with painted beams just on the ends to extend the cover of the gaps slightly, so you and lizard doggos don't get stuck. This design doesn't clip into the trains as they pass as long as it's a straight level section.
