This presentation accurate.Something that may not be well known is much of the homelessness is by design 😢.For decades,the Western third of the continent have been rounding up THEIR homeless populations, giving them a one way ticket to Bellingham,telling them not to return.😢 It's not like all these people became homeless overnight (although it could happen as we have Seattle rents but not Seattle wages 😢)

This is a helpful video, thank you! However, I found the “ding” sound effect to be really loud and obscured some of the dialog for me. Perhaps you could mix that sound effect a bit lower or use it more sparingly in future videos.

Blaine is a great place to live. Very quiet and peaceful. One minor complaint, the train stopping on the track and no alternative crossing. The increased cost of housing may force me to move

Lynden was a lot nicer years ago. It’s so crowded now you might as well call it Lyndenwood. In a few years you will not know the difference. It was an island of conservatives and rural living but it will soon become another western Washington urban wasteland.

Hey. I'm a resident of point Roberts. Been here for 11 years. There's alot of correct info you've given, but you need to do an updated video now. Nenas was an illegally operated food venue. You need to let people know of the impossibility of crossing into Canada if you have a DUI on your record. The marina restaurant WAS breakwaters at that time. Closed then reopened to a revived restaurant from long ago. I think I might have briefly met you when you visited

Thanks for the comments and great suggestion. I definitely want to start redoing some of my past videos with updated information. Because Point Roberts videos get so many viewings, I want to make sure the information is as accurate as possible. I am sorry you do not like living in Bellingham. How long have you lived here? While I have seen a lot of changes over the last 24 years that I have lived here, overall I am always grateful to live here. I have been to 49 of the 50 US states and I cannot think of a better place to live than Bellingham Washington. But I guess I’m a little biased! 🤪

Like so many places in the United States, there are more and more rules being instituted. Some are good, and others think some are bad. I guess you just have to do the old Ben Franklin and compare the pros and cons.

I lived on W. Indiana St. across from Cornwall Park & just beyond the rose garden. Worst decision I ever made was to move in 1985!! But I’m happy to find your videos & reminisce. 😊

Why not offer them to join the military. Peace corp or off shore work. Construction jobs. Not a brand new apartment to sit around in. Ship them to the desert or a national park. No you're not going to get high and hang out .

If it were only that easy. I presume not every homeless person is homeless for the same reason, so there is probably not a one size fits all solution. But there is no question that we need to do something proactive to keep things from getting worse.

I wouldn’t say that Vancouver Island is prettier than Bellingham, as they each have their own benefits. Island is a great place to go for a weekend getaway and there is lots to do. I’m sure people who live on Vancouver Island love to come and visit Bellingham for a weekend as well.
