Just curious why you watched the video when you really just wanted someone to tell you that you're right. If you need someone to tell you atta boy for that comment I'll bite, seem like you got an ego that needs stroked, but if youve never heard of a shackle slapping youre showing either woeful ignorance or definite inexperience. Choose wisely.

I never implied all of them would slap. I stated that it was a possibility with a shackle reversal...its almost like the entire video was possibilities of problems you could see with a reversal. Dont take it from me, just google it when you crawl back under your bridge little troll.

Sometimes it makes it easier to track leak if get a spare IPR pigtail and make a jumper cable with a on/off switch and gator clips, they are sensitive to arking and leave charged for over a min, Also being an 05'+ rarely pumps ever fail but was the STC fitting, Stand pipes, and dummy plugs ever updated, Passenger cover cover is a PITA ratchet wrenches help but other side is a breeze, Hopefully STC is ok, STC fittings are under the HPOP cover and they SUCK!!! Good luck getting HPOP cover off with cab on.
@SmallTimeMotorsports2 жыл бұрын
In the next video coming up we actually talk about some of this, we commanded the IPR with a scan tool instead of a jumper wire. We replaced all of the stand pipes, dummy plugs and STC fitting relatively easily. We tore down the entire top end to deal with the EGR cooler and STC fitting together but had ZERO problems getting the HPOP cover off or removing the passenger stand pipe. We did cut the tab on the HPOP cover, and removed the passenger splash shield for access to the rear valve cover bolts. EASY PEASY. Thanks for commenting and watching!! I hope you enjoy the next video on this, it would be great if you could watch and maybe drop another comment.

The 79 LandCruiser is one of the only solid axle vehicles that is current in Australia and widely available.... They run a spring under pack and they're not even in the top 5 4x4s in the Australian bush.... Under packs get caught up on everything
@SmallTimeMotorsports2 жыл бұрын
I completely understand what youre saying man, they can for sure get caught up on a wide variety of things, I actually made skid plates for my Jeep to help out with that and not snag the ubolts as bad, but alas, every design has flaws. The 79's seem pretty awesome and Id love to see one in person, but I also get what youre saying, I watch a ton of shows from your way, I see patrols and hilux's walking circles around them while the 79 is usually hanging around with one wheel in the air, if only there was a perfect 4x4.... Seriously though, thanks so much for watching and commenting, Im quite infatuated with your country and really appreciate your opinion!!!

@@SmallTimeMotorsports look... The LandCruiser is a work truck, the base model here is 80k aud and it doesn't even come with a cd player with wind windows.... Their best point however is one of their worst... Turbo V8 running 145kw is very low ... For reference, the 1grfe 4.0l v6 Hilux comes out at 185kw.... The plus side to this however is an engine that is low stress and will last forever haha.... I personally love the petrol v6, they are not popular here

I’m installing the 6 inch lift on my yj from rough country. They supply a longer bracket but the track bar still isn’t long enough. They don’t mention anything about getting an adjustable bar. Does anyone know anything about this. Need to get this sorted out asap
@SmallTimeMotorsports2 жыл бұрын
You can definitely go ahead and get the adjustable bar and make sure that all fits after that, the JKS I used is for a lifted YJ, the most important thing is going to be making sure that the trackbar geometry and the steering geometry match up so there isnt any opposing force or bumpsteer in the front. This can be accomplished with a drop pitman arm. Hope this helps, 6 inches is pretty high up there!!

@SmallTimeMotorsports2 жыл бұрын
Glad it was helpful!, For your colorado the sky is the limit, nearly everything should fit under the hood with no worries. Depends on the purpose for your truck, but in my opinion the easiest would be a 5.3 ls, probably gen 4 since youre gm already it may talk to some of the electronics and the trans depends on if 2wd or 4wd. If 2wd throw a TKO or a T56 at it and call it good! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Excellent work bro have a question just got a vortec engine from a 2007 Tahoe that I will be installing on a 64 impala will I have to convert the manifold for hood clearance and what manifold you recommend thank you 🙏
@SmallTimeMotorsports2 жыл бұрын
Youll probably have to convert to car manifolds for hood clearance. Its a 2007 vortec engine so it should be cathedral port, meaning either an LS1 or an LS6 manifold will easily fit. The rest of the brackets should bolt right up to the block so the accessories will fit you just have to make sure that your oil pan clearance is good. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Man that was emotional, brought back some memories. My mom passed 9 yrs ago and she had a 95 XJ. My aunt her sister had it a few yrs but stopped driving it. It was gifted to my son 2 yrs ago he was 14. He is now 16 and driving. For the past two years we did some extensive rebuilding of this Jeep. Pretty much done with it we took it for it’s maiden voyage yesterday all is working great. We put a 3 inch lift on 31-10.50s all new brakes, inner and outer rockers new floors and cargo pan. Por 15 the frame steam cleaned the seats. Did the ZJ steering components. Adjustable upper and lower control arms. Just some other odds and ends a work in progress but road worthy. His MiMi would be proud.

I hv a 1994 Jeep wrangler yj, What are your thoughts on the blocks that were added to the rear leaf springs for lift? Very and cracked. Thanks, W. Scot
@SmallTimeMotorsports3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and thanks for your question. Adding rear blocks can be an easy way to get more lift out of a Jeep realtively inexpensively, they come into play for several reasons, one being that the stock springs are very flexy so it keeps that soft ride after lifting unlike a spring pack with a higher arch that get much stiffer for the most part. There can be some bad from them though, first is those softer springs with blocks tend to axle wrap and wheel hop in the back, the axle is farther from the spring so it gives it leverage to twist the spring and after enough of this it can damage bushings and crack leaves. As long as the components themselves are in good shape (leaves, ubolts, blocks) theres nothing wrong with blocks under 2 inches, over that can be sketchy. It sounds like if you have lift blocks in there it has a spring over already in place so just take care of the springs youll be mint.
