Good commentary, havent tried any of these, might have to check them out. Not a big fan of "fruity" beers these days, so we shall see! Best part of the whole video for me was watching the dog in the background wanting for someone to play with!

The lake and the trail up to it is absolutely stunning! It looks a bit glossed over with ice, but also some portions are a deeper cyan/tourqouise blue? Is that due to the water underneath at this time of year?
@CampingMatt
@CampingMatt 24 күн бұрын
It is always awesome up there. The silt suspended in the frozen water makes it look blue.

Eating a cheap greasy burger right before a slow cooked New York strip roast in a smoker would make any “chef” mad. We don’t spend all day cooking for you to already be full 😝. That orange rod I have is the best though.

I worked on campus from 2000-2011 and The Bookie was not located in the CUB prior to 2008. From 1954-2008 The Bookie was located in a separate building at 700 NE Thatuna Rd. next to Kimbrough Music Hall and was run by a student owned entity. The book store was financially successful and the Students Book Corporation Board of Directors began to consider ways to give a cash distribution back to the students in 1956. Since 1992, the distribution amount has been 10%. The Bookie conducted business at the Thatuna location until 2008 when it moved against both student and faculty wishes, to the CUB. The Bookie became an anchor tenant in the CUB solidifying the cost of the renovation. In other words, the Board of Regents couldn't afford the CUB renovation unless they threw the Student Book Corporation under the bus and accepted private funding from Barnes & Noble who took over the ownership and management of The Bookie. Students no longer received the 10% discount and the new store was filled with ridiculously overpriced text books and apparel. The folks who worked for the Student Book Corporation managed to get loans to open a new off-campus bookstore, Crimson & Gray located on Bishop Blvd. Faculty were instructed not to give their textbook numbers and orders to C & G and to only use The Bookie in the CUB. Most faculty blatantly disregarded this order and C&G provided textbooks less expensively than The Bookie. Eventually it was sold to a corporation that now does not sell textbooks but hey we got a shiny new CUB that gouges students for every thing under its roof. The CUB refurbishment was controversial because it did away with the student post office in the basement, making students have to rent postal boxed off campus at the USPS facility across town, and it closed The Bookie and moved it into the CUB, giving its running over to Barnes and Noble INC.
