Hey guys you did a video a long time back about installing a drop axle in a Model A Ford. The question you did NOT address is, "What did you do about the fact that the brake actuator no long lines up with the mounting hole in the spring perch?"

You have too many clothes in the machine and it doesn’t clean well when there’s not enough room for the clothes to wash.

A later model inline like a 235 , or even later 230 , 250 , 292 with a T-5 transmission behind it. Put an open driveshaft, rear end. No body work , other than interior , and drive it daily.

Totally incorrect starting procedure, bad for the diesel engine. The reason why Cat provided the gasoline pony engine is because a gasoline engine, being fired by a spark, will start no matter how cold it is or how slowly you manage to turn it over, whereas a diesel needs a certain minimum RPM at any given air temperature to build up enough combustion chamber heat to fire. The lower the air temperature the higher the RPM needs to be. These pony engine Cats NEVER need ether to start if you use the correct procedure. The pony doesn't just crank the diesel engine, it shares coolant and its exhaust heats the diesel intake manifold. Coorect starting procedure:- Apply decompression. Set diesel speed control to cutoff/stop. Start and warm up the pony, then engage pinion to turn the diesel over; When stable, enable compression. This loads up the pony and make it supply more heat. Watch for correct oil and fuel pressure. Leave it running until you feel the diesel manifold warm, then slowly open the speed control (rack) - the diesel will then start without drama, and kick out the pinion. Stop the pony. Do not over-rev the pony or the pinion will think the diesel has started and kick out.

I'm trying to 😂 figure out why your car's diary needs to know all of your clothes measurements. LoL what the heck? So that's the same car and year model of Scott's huh? Wow 😲 um,in comparison they don't seem to be any farther apart then they can possibly be! Yours is pretty quiet where as Scott's isn't,yours doesn't seem to be shaking itself apart at the seams rattling and rolling all over like his either. Hmm, 🤔 I think he needs to drop his off to you guys for a little while and whip that puppy into shape for him!🤣 Lol, just like the cobbler who needs new shoes 😂 great t and garage too guys!

May I offer some input from my experience? Pay more attention to temperature in your rod prep. The tinning solder should be in a liquid state when the babbitt is poured. Invest in a non contact infrared thermometer and see to it that the item to be poured is 600 degrees. When done properly the bearing will be effectively soldered to the rod or cap. Also, as soon as it is poured cool it as rapidly as possible with water. The longer the babbitt stays in a liquid state the more time there is for the constituent elements to separate from each other. Test your bond by hanging the rough poured parts from a wire and tapping them with a wrench. They should ring. If it sounds like you are tapping a potato the bond is defective and the bearing will fail again. Plan on doing the other rods soon. The one you just did probably failed due to no bond.
