I always dreamed about this type of life style but after watching this video, I am debating on how nice it would actually be. Its cool to see how well informed you were on surviving, you using the volcanic rock as a whetstone to sharpen the machete was especially cool. Anyways, what happened with the dog once you left the island? Did you take it back with you?

Let's break down some potential ways you could utilize the sulfuric lagoon and other resources on Tofuah Island to improve your survival: Water Purification: Sulfuric lagoons often have acidic water due to the presence of sulfuric acid. While it's not safe to drink directly, you could potentially distill the water. Boiling the water would help separate the sulfuric acid from the water, producing steam that can be collected and condensed back into liquid water, leaving behind the sulfuric acid. This method could provide you with drinkable water, albeit it would require some equipment and energy input. Chemical Reactions for Energy: Sulfuric acid is a powerful oxidizing agent, meaning it can react with certain substances to release energy. However, finding suitable reactants on a deserted island might be challenging. One possibility is to react the sulfuric acid with a metal like iron or magnesium to produce hydrogen gas, which can be used as a fuel for combustion. This reaction releases heat and could potentially be harnessed for cooking or heating purposes. Geothermal Energy: The presence of an active hydrothermal vent on the island offers a valuable energy resource. You could harness the heat from the vent to generate electricity using a geothermal power plant setup. This could provide you with a reliable source of energy for various purposes, such as charging electronic devices or powering tools. Chemical Extraction: Volcanic compounds on the island could potentially be utilized for various purposes. For example, if there are sulfur deposits near the lagoon, you could extract elemental sulfur through a process called sublimation, where sulfur transitions directly from a solid to a gas under specific conditions. This sulfur could then be used for various applications, such as making sulfuric acid or as a preservative for food. Food Preservation: Sulfur compounds are often used as preservatives in food. If you have access to sulfur from the lagoon or volcanic deposits, you could use it to preserve any food you manage to gather or hunt on the island, helping to extend its shelf life and prevent spoilage. In a survival situation, resourcefulness and adaptability are key. By leveraging the unique chemistry of the sulfuric lagoon and other volcanic resources on Tofuah Island, you could potentially enhance your chances of survival and improve your quality of life while stranded
