Thanks for sharing the hilarious and warm tribute to John Mann of SOTW and reminding me of the great North Shore pubs. I am going to play my SOTW album right now and have an ice cold beer.......And If Venice is Sinking is one of my favorites 🍺🍺

Sorry Tojo’s lustre left long ago. It’s overpriced and not better than Octopus’s Garden, Yuji’s of Tokyo or Yuwa. Time to move on.

Loose translation of the tomb stone: "In the name of the most compassionate and the most merciful (God)" In this soil, a master in the art and a flower in garden has slept that this beautiful flower was cut in a Spring morning. Here is the eternal resting place of the Afghanistan music star, Nasrat Parsa. We are from God and we return to God. The below is a Persian poem about the agony of losing Nasrat Parsa.

So sad that such a popular singer be killed by some drunkards. That's so brutal and inhumane.

A very handsome man who could hold his own in any costume drama no matter how famous the Co-star. Despite his sad end he got to play and work with some greats that most mortals could only ever dream about meeting.

I can't believe 25 years have gone by since Greg passed away. I was watching that race and saw the accident and when the car flipped at the last second you just knew that the outcome was going to be bad. He was my favourite driver. Thanks for remembering him.

Lovely tribute my friend..life is so fragile. Really enjoyed your melancholy look at what I can only assume was your old high school, So wonderful that you got to get those memories saved. I take umbrage at beautiful old buildings falling victim to the wrecking ball, And "progress" as some would say. Nice to see you back on familiar soils my friend👍 Say hi to Rick from us😊

I grew up in PNG for a short while when I was a teen. I found out he came to the Island i was on quite a few times. He was a barman in Lea, where he ran a Black Bird Operation, a huge opium trade run on the coconut run route. Then he went to Hollywood. I retraced his route run. I ended up living now sometimes on one of the Islands he ran the BlackBird op on. Amazing life he had before an actor.
