That was a cool video, too bad they didn't have someone who had buried it back in 1972 there to open it.

Wowza! With JCVC you pay for the whole seat, but you only need the edge!! In the interest of historical preservation, who gets to keep the 'spicy contents' for posterity?? 🤪

There's some symbolism in that there fire extinguisher full of nauties..just not sure what it is.. They could do as the good folks in Dog River did, and bury a new one every year🥴keeps things fresh. Your Benevolent buddy. (New look, same great taste)

Buried in concrete? Oh the brown soft style that you can remove with a shovel.

Thanks for watching Albert. I think they may have actually prepared it for an easy ceremonial dig for the politicians. 👍👍 ⛏️

Hardley appropiate material for a time capsule and usually they aren't opened for 100 years...

A bit of history from someone with first had knowledge of the situation. In the video you see the “E” beside the nice stone one. That was the original one but it was destroyed in the late 80’s by Forestry students posing as Engineering Students. In the early hours they got a backhoe with a demolition hammer to take it down. It was a well established rumor that it was made of super strong reinforced concrete and was indestructible. This was not true. It came down like nothing and it was smashed to the ground in minutes. The backhoe was finished and loaded up and driven away before anyone saw it. As the sun came up a few students saw a group of students standing beside it drinking beer with smiles on their faces. As the Engineering students arrived the look of horror on their faces was priceless. The Forestry students with the Engineering jackets on never let on that is was them that had destroyed their special structure. It was all done as a prank as every year the Engineers would steel the Forestry car that was used to promote forestry events and hang the car from various things in Vancouver. The Lions Gate Bridge was often used. It was quite the blast from the past really cool video and one of the Forestry students, even had Dayton boots on that early morning😁. Still got them apparently😜
