I’ve said it before elsewhere, I went to see Bowie in ‘72 but it was Ronno that captivated me. Changed my life in such a good way. A true hero of mine. Thanks for this.

Hey Rick, do you happen to know who their luthier was that did all the work for Mick and Ian? Appears to be pretty customized. Its a long shot but I have a very old stripped LP that also has lots of custom repairs/mods and the initials I.H. carved in the back of the headstock (no serial). Like a said, a long shot, but was thinking maybe Ian Hunter?

Why'd you get rid of the original video of you showing the guitar? It had the amp and the pedals too that Suzi just gave you free of charge.

Fantastic! Amazing to hear tgat guitar again. I first heard Glen himself play it in 1972 at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver BC. Billion Dollar Babies tour. I was 12 years old and it was my first concert . Neil was there ! I’ve been a lifelong fan of Alice Cooper and the original lineup since then. Their sound is unequaled and will never be matched. Thank you for resurrecting that guitar and all the wonderful memories it stirs.

Very emotional video. I absolutely understand why you sold it and that the money was put to beneficial use for yourself and your family. But I also can understand how horrible you must have felt. When I imagine to have this guitar in my possession, I am thinking "No way in hell would I ever sell the guitar that Ronson played the unforgettable Moonage Daydream solo on and that has been licked numerous times by David Bowie! Just to let it hang on some rich dudes wall. Never!"

Just wonderful to hear this guitar played with such feel & precision. I can remember seeing it in the Hard Rock Cafe in Sydney in the 90s & felt privileged to be in its company.

Not sure of the truth of this. But supposedly Cheetah Crome of the Dead Boys acquired this sg from Buxton or borrowed it and used it on their second lp. We’ve come for your Children. “” Supposedly while in Cheetahs possession it got damaged due to an airline mishandling incident. Not sure of truth. But if so it’s not only connected to The Alice Cooper band. But also the infamous Dead Boys

I never had the knowledge of this guy's brilliance & stage personification(s). He was very frustrated by the way Bowie traded players album to album when he was able to. I'd feel insulted by that too. "THAT was Bowie!" Thinking of what could have been.

I loved this band so much, I wasn't lucky enough to see them the first time around and always hoped maybe they'd reform later and I'd get another chance. That dream died with Glen's passing. I was quite sad to recently learn Glen wasn't even on their last album "Muscle of Love" although pictured on the album. I never knew that but from Love It To Death, Killer, Schools Out, Billion Dollar Babies, Muscle of Love this band had such an affect on my life. I could go on forever. That SG sounds amazing I'd love to play it! I think it's so awesome that Neil got it. Its so sad to loose our heroes, rest in peace Glen, the world will never forget you or this great band thanks for the music!!

Might not have mattered back then since most popular acts got sold out of venues in a few hours...this due in large part to scalpers, who bought up loads of tickets to sell @ a premium. Even paying the far less affluent to stand in line for them. I was very fortunate, since my best friend's mother managed a kitchen in the biggest venue of Detroit, being Cobo Hall...so we got to go to many concerts for free. Just had to watch out for the ushers, us not having ticket stubs.

Great job Rick. I know how incredibly difficult this must’ve been for you. Doug meant so much to everyone that ever played with him or got to know him. But it’s a very special place for those who are actually in his band and work side-by-side with him creating music for many years. This is a wonderful tribute, and I believe the lyrics are correct, as I think that’s what Doug would be saying. God bless you and all your musical efforts.

Mick Ronson was Ziggy and Bowie was the Spider from Mars. The always uncomfortable with himself Bowie spent the rest of his life sheepishly knowing the happy confident and eternally handsome Mick created the Bowie persona and sound while the eternally humble Mick spent the rest of his life not caring. "Ziggy played guitar"

I picked up a Pro-X Mockingbird at the local pawnshop last week for $345 with a hardcase (steal). It is the satin black model with gold hardware and gold binding. It has a Floyd 1000 and the EMG 81/85 active pickup set. At first I didn't like playing it sitting down (standing was fine). It took me a solid week before I got used to it sitting down. It just always wanted to slide or fall off of my lap. Now I wear a strap even while sitting and I have gotten used to it. I love this guitar now. :D
