You were a trooper! Me and my family spotted you I think on your last loop?, well you earned that medal! I didn't know that these events could be so thrilling! In fact, after doing the 5i50 course the day after your race, with the 70.3 people, I got hooked and once back home, I booked my Ironman Cervia 70.3 for next year 😅🎉🎉

Sounds like you got the full first Ironman experience! Something that you have no idea how it happens, goes wrong. It's 140.6 miles for something to go wrong and there's no way to replicate an Ironman without just doing one. You smashed it, Ironman!
@squatsontoast3 ай бұрын
Thank you! Exactly that there’s so much time for things to go right and wrong which I feel like both happened for me!

3km of graft is such an understatement, more like 3km of death. It is quite literally the most rude thing you'd ever come across in a race. Flat bike course hahaha

Literally just happened to me last week and I still cannot believe I did it.

I was at Cervia for the race, too. Nice to see a video to remember that experience.

Just found your channel! Well done on the swim! I can totally relate. I had such a panic attack in my first sprint tri swim portion! I too like being near ppl in the swim! It’s the sea! 😢 i still get nervous for the swim but remind myself I’m stronger and better each day. Keep at it!! 😊

well done going back into the sea! listening to David Goggins and his book Can't Hurt Me helped me (sort of) overcome my fear of water and take on swimming. good luck at the event!

Well done. 💪 Have joined the Hyrox family in the last few weeks - it's not easy! Also had friends at Dublin who won their respective categories and will be off to the worlds in Nice next year. I feel a road trip coming on 😁

Puma Deviate Nitro 2 is a great all round shoe for hyrox, it’s a running shoe with the best grip on the market. Also I competed at Dublin, And the sled pull ruined my entire workout 😂 that sled in the pro division would barely move!

Huge congratulations, you pair smashed it! 💥 I did the doubles too and 100% agree that the runs were long! I’m annoyed watches wouldn’t work properly as I would be so interested to see how much distance we clocked. I went into the day feeling really good with training and was mortified at how quickly I fatigued! Regardless, great day and buzzing now for Glasgow! P.s I think we were sitting next to you on the tiny plane home 😂 my friend and I are both super fans so couldn’t believe it but didn’t want to pester you. Have loved following your journey of racing this year, can’t wait to watch you smash next year too! 💪🏻🏃🏼♀️

I’m RELIEVED to hear you felt the same and I wasn’t going crazy hehe! You will LOVE Glasgow. No way that’s so lovely 🥹🥹 aw I’d have loved to chat!! Maybe we will cross paths again ☺️☺️ Thanks for your support, I really appreciate it! I was doing deep breaths to calm myself on that plane, I never realised it would be a PROPELLOR !! 🤣🤣 all my friends were on the other one I was like how have I managed to book this one 🤣

I just found you here on YT and I'm so glad that I did! You are doing the things I want to do and that I have just started doing. I have ran a bit, but not so serious and I have been lifting for years, but I want to become a hybrid and run marathons... AND omg.. you live in Scotland?! It's me DREAM to go there! I live in Finland. My head started thinking now... how about to sign up for a marathon in Scotland.... 😇😇
