You need to use ground flax seeds or they’ll come right out of you and you won’t get any benefit

Warning! I made the horrible mistake of wasting $15 on a jar of Nutiva "buttery" coconut oil! The most disgusting stuff, doesn't taste anything like butter at all! So pissed. I have to throw it in the garbage for fear of anyone in my family using it for our food. Tastes like a perfumed hand lotion rather than a buttery oil. Definitely stick to regular unflavored refined coconut oil. And no, it's not rancid or old, it's brand new with a long exp date, it didn't have any type of rancid taste, it was the dreadful annatto extract and whatever ingredient they're hiding calling it "organic vegan butter flavor". It also gave me upset stomach after trying some on a piece of toast! I'm vegan but on a very tight budget, so this is extremely disappointing. Maybe people forget what butter tastes like after being vegan, but this is NOT it! The plain cashews taste like butter on their own. I could have bought 2 bars of the real thing with that amount of money. Luckily I made a small test batch and it ruined my cashew butter, so it doesn't get fixed by the cashews either.

Making this now with a substitution or two. Using Chipolte instead of cayenne as my cayenne is bad. No t paste or carrot so using a can of fire roasted diced tomatoes. Beginning to simmer. Making a Naan to go with it.

Generally, flax seeds don’t digest well unless they are ground. Dos soaking them reduce this need?

I just baked it. I am surprised that the crackers is sweet. I don't like the jelly like taste of chia seeds. But after baking it is is really quite nice. I will do it for another run. Mine is thin enough but it is best to go thinner for the crispy taste. Thank you

Is it possible to add the salt during the time when you put the sprouted quinoa and buckwheat into the blender rather than adding it to the dough as you have shown? Also I have bread loaf pans that are stoneware, will it be necessary to still use parchment paper? Do you just line the bottom of your loaf pan with the parchment paper or can you cover the entire pan with parchment, if using it?
