Since you were not going to replace rotor and distribution cap was no reason to unplug anything from there..thank to dad for it..I plan to do same job next few days all wires and distributor cap and I plan to mark old ones and new ones for not to mess up...that can cause miss fire issue...less swearing would rather but good job overall..🤜👏👍

so i did this and wired them to my signals like you, one side works with the led strip and the signal bulb doesn’t, but the other side the signal works and led strip does not idk what’s up with it

I have been fight this issue for weeks and today discovered why: I have a brand new pk80 and hasn't run right since i got it. Found seal behind magnet was bad, replaced it. But it will not go into "power band", it just dies or cuts out, etc. - So i have been noticing oil pooling up around the bottom of the spark plug. Decided to pull the head after doing a plug chop and i noticed 2 white spots on the plug cone. The rest of the plug with normal'ish looking covered with cocoa brown oil, etc. hmmmm Sure enough it has a crack right in the middle of the head that leads into the spark plug threads, etc. Really interesting part is that the piston was clean in 3 spots. 1 area by the intake side of the piston dome, and of course the same 2 more other spots that line up with the white spots on the plug!!!! This explains the crazy inability to "tune" these and they don't run right. Different carbs and jettings can be helpful, but won't fix it until you find the leak. rest of the piston cocoa brown to black carbon build up. Brand new engine, funky stuff... now i gotta gets me a head. Hope this helps anyone struggling with this issue. And this is common with the PK80 engines with that style of cast factory aluminum heads. Always do tear downs of these engines when new. Literally, cheack seals, true the moutning surfaces of the intake and exhaust, inspect seals, inspect for debri and so on.... the effort will pay off when trying to figure out why they don't run.... mine came with bad head and a wrongly wonky install seal.... can't wait to ride it, lol...

One more thing like i said these cars are very old an 90 % if them have had a very very hard life an one more cery important thing on these cars about 70 % have been in an accident some not bad but a lot have been hit prettyy bad so if you do not wana take my advice about any new edge cobra an do pull the trigger at least do this before you sign on the dotted line take the car for at least a 50 mile test ride in the city an highway an this will tell you all about the clutch an because i havent seen one 01 03 or 04 cobra that didnt need a clutch even if it only has a 20 thousand miles to 50 thousand miles an some with even 15 thousand miles an if the cobra hasnt had the coil packs replaced an you can afford this go ahead an order the coil pack kit yes replace all of them an make sure you get it in writing the car has never been in a wreck an make sure you see all the records of maintaince if they dont have proof of maintaince then leave it an go buy a new car because like i told you if none of this stuff hasnt been done hell just go an buy a new G T 500 because itll cozt you yhat much to get that car in not perfect shape but pretty nice shape because i can show you all pf my maintaince records in the last 10 years which is about 18 thousand dollars an my 03 isnt driven more then 12 hundred miles a year an spmetimes sit in the he giarge for months yal o dont drive but i know all about letting these cars sit so i alwayy at least start the car or drive it around the block an yal it now has 26 thousand miles on it.

5th gear is od u can keep it in 4th gear in a 2v and it will do the whole dash it will go all the way to 150 dont ask me how ik lol no need for 5th when u racing lol its just overdrive

Dude your car is stock with gears. a tuner isn’t going to make that big of a difference 🤦🏻‍♂️ especially with a bama 😂 here’s another person, making the Mustang world look dumb. Dude will be the guy who comes to the car meet and be like “yea I got 400hp with a stock motor but with this bama tuner gave me extra 140hp to the wheels!!!! I really wish you the best but i warn you these cars are 23 years old an if they havent been maintained theyll cost you not hubdreds but thousands an thousands of dollars to maintain an im a professional on these cars an i own one an ive kept up on all the maintaince an it cost as much as a gt new 500 to keep up an my 03 converrtable is show room quality under hood an top but its a money eater an if you dont keep on top of these cars their junk in a couple years they are nothing but wallet eaters from coil packs to fuel pumps to clutches to spark plugs to power stearing pumps to valve cover gaskets an replaceing valve cover gaskets is a real big job an you will need to replace them or keep blowing coil packs theres no end an heres the good part just when you have replaced all this sruff at least once the car will be alright for mabe 5 or 6 months an then the cobra starts its shit again an usually its a coil pack or the oil cooler an my oil cooler cost me 650 dollars an 350 to have it put on by the ford dealer yal im selling mine an its close to mint an all stock the only way i buy a car an still look at what ive gone through an i saw a terminator somebody brought in when i picked my 03 cobra terminator at the ford dealer friday well they towed it in a terminator car it was all there an looked all stock but i dont care i wouldnt of give em 2000 for this terminator because the paint was peeling off every where an i ask the service advisor about the car an he said it wont even move an said they told the people that had it towed in that they really dont work on cars that are far gone yal but said they will give them an estimate i guarantee to get that 03 terminator cobra in the shape my 03 cobra is in youd bee spending at the least 25 to 35 thousand these cars are not worth touching unless their in nice shape stay away from them ..
