I’ve never seen anyone wind an entire warp onto the front beam and then rewind it back onto the back beam.

amazing! though i don´t think i could do that many colours - money for yarn aside, i only have a modest 40cm loom. still this video is very inspiring! i´m already planing a weave with different kinds of pinks+reds for a rose-like mix, or how about reds, oranges and yellow to celebrate the colours of autumn leaves? gah, so many ideas, so little time 😉

I have exactly the same haircut! I’ve been cutting my own hair for a while . You taught me something with the sheer scissors ✂️ I was not using them at all but now I will 😀 I love your purple hair at the front.

Hi! Great video!! I know you said you are using knitpicks palette and highland cones from HD but what brand and yarn did you use for the warp? I am recreating this in a different color palette Thank you!!
@CarmenShenkАй бұрын
@@cherylynngholson3524 I sometimes use palette wool for warp, it can handle some tension. Also I love using sock yarn that has some nylon content for added strength under tension. I hope you’ll find me on IG or FB and send photos of your project!! 💕

Try cutting in a V in the back. That’s really cute to.
@ninaleach6350Ай бұрын
Luckily my husband does the back and crown for me......not easy with a double crown though......I just do the front. My hair has always been very thick and I used to get it buzzed all over with a tiny bit of fringe (bangs) but it's thinning on the top, so I leave it longer now. I'm 72 and it began thinning after menopause but much more after my chemotherapy. I have a hairdressing cape and a cordless clipper as it's quieter and lighter and a hairdresser's fine mist,spray bottle. I've cut my own hair most of my life as I hate hairdressers, I'm autistic and it's a sensory overwhelm 😱

my question is do I dare use the the texturing scissors on my thin hair?
@CarmenShenkАй бұрын
@@janetwhitten2643 it’s the difference between a crew cut and a cut with finesse. So yeah, even on thin hair. You’re really only hitting the last inch of the hair, so it just allows the cut to look softer. 💕

I really enjoyed the simplicity, the tutorial, and the giggles...I was told I have a double cowlick and with my fine thin hair and approaching 70 this year, I really need a short pixie. I was going bald for almost a year with alopecia areata so I wore a mullet to my sons' wedding last summer and when it grew back in, I wore it short to my youngest daughters' wedding 2 wks ago... anything you can suggest for a double cowlick and how to deal with it, will be helpful...

You could put a couple of buttons at the waist where you pull it together, so that you can adjust whether you want it just closed or slightly tighter.

I've cut my own hair, my husband's hair, and my dog's hair for years. This is the best video I've ever seen for what I've aimed for. Although thinning shears are a regular in my routine, I never really got the "hang" of them until you explained moving the fingers further out with each cut. I use a Wahl clipper with combs, good grade scissors, and my desire to keep improving my technique. But sometimes I've thought my dog's cut looks better than mine. Thanks for showing how you deal with the cowlick, which is just like mine. I also now will be brave and cut around my ears. I've been trying to tuck that hair behind my ears but it's awkward. Thank you so much. I'm ready to give up the fight, at 74, and enjoy the journey. I'm off to cut my hair now!
