Never start any tapped screw with a power drill or driver. Start by hand. This video needs to be seriously updated so folk realise it's not a 5 minute job. You need to be fairly competent at DIY and have access / knowledge of tools and sealants (all not shown here). The replacementatch is flimsy and insecure. You might invalidate your home insurance too because the door cannot be securely locked.

This is a great question! You can certainly make a U-turn with the wire as long as it does not run parallel to itself within 5 feet or curve at sharper than a 90 degree angle. It is important to mention, however, that if this L shaped area covers only your front or only your back yard you would need to use a double loop layout for the system to be functional. I bought the wireless fence system 2 weeks ago, and I've been trying to make it work for my husky. I have installed the extended prongs, I have trimmed the hair around his neck, I have tested it on myself to make sure it works and believe me it does but even turned up to three or four out of six on the settings, he still shows no sign of any correction. He's he's really a good boy, I just want to keep him safely contained while I'm gone at work. I really need some help with this!

Please know our Customer Care team is always happy to help, so if you have any further issues please contact us directly! If your collar is providing static, it would also be providing tone at the same time. This tone is extremely high pitched, however. This is because it is designed to be at a level best for our dogs to hear, but there are many customers who are unable to hear this tone, or hear it as very faint if they hold the collar close to their ear. For this reason, we recommend setting your flags using the test light tool and your collar held at your dog's neck height. This way you can be sure if your dog is at the flag, they are hearing the tone, and you can train for the tone even though you are not hearing it.

Thank you for asking about this! It's very likely going through the pump cleaning steps in your manual will resolve this right away. Since your pump is struggling, we would recommend the extra step of adding a dab of food safe oil (olive oil, etc.) to the propeller blades of the last removeable piece of the pump after cleaning. If you then reassemble the pump and fully submerge it in water, it should come on strongly right away. If it does not, please contact our Customer Care team directly!

If your fountain isn't operating, it's most likely that the pump needs to be cleaned. We would recommend following the steps in the manual to fully disassemble the pump into four pieces, then scrub all four pieces under warm water with soap. Please know our manuals are written by our teammates, with creating the best experience we can for our customers in mind. Your fountain will remind you to change the filter every 3 weeks. If you have already changed your filter and need to reset this timer, press and hold the status light/button for 10 seconds, then release the button.

Ive looked everywhere and cant find an answer. The rake in mine tries to go all the way back but the left side will not let it. The right side sets in the home positon and the left side is constantly a little behind it. It worked smoothly for about a month but this is where im at with it now. any help would be nice. It says stuff could be on the tracks but i dont think thats what it is. It does the cycle just fine but the left side just will not go into home position. Then it will try to start a little bit then start flashing red.

It is crucial to mention that if the collar you purchased is compatible, it will activate automatically at the boundary once brought near your transmitter. There are many in-ground/wired fence collars that look very similar to our wireless ones, however, so it is vital to make sure that the collar you purchased is compatible. If your collar says UL-275BM or PUL-275, that is an in-ground/wired fence collar and it will not be compatible with your wireless transmitter, so you would need to see if it can be returned to the location of purchase. If your collar has model number PIF-275 or RFA-423, it would be compatible with any fully wireless PetSafe® transmitter. If you have a wireless system and your new collar has one of those model numbers and it is not activating, please contact PetSafe Customer Care directly so we can troubleshoot with you.

Thank you for asking about this! If you would prefer to align your panel with your sliding screen, this may be possible to do, depending on the design of your sliding glass door. It would also be dependent on design whether you would be able to still lock the glass door; for many doors this would not be possible as the screen may be the 'first' panel, etc. Aligning the panel with the screen is not ideal for most customers as they often switch between using the glass and screen, and there will be a large gap between the panel and glass if the screen door is not used. For this reason as well as variations in door design, it's typically the best experience to install the panel aligned with the glass door. We're so sorry for any confusion.

Insulated extreme weather flaps are only compatible with extreme weather doors, and would not be compatible with a door that did not originally come with an insulated flap. We're so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. It is worth mentioning that you can add a second flap to your door for increased wind resistence and decreased temperature transfer. To do this you would sandwich both flaps right up against each other between the flap mounting area on the door and the mounting bracket. For best use of this feature we would recommend positioning one flap slightly to the left and the other slightly to the right for best additional coverage of the opening. If you would be interested in moving to an extreme weather door instead, please contact PetSafe® Customer Care directly so we can see what options we have for you!
