Well done KLJ read appreciate your efforts on one of UK's preserved lines that possess everything you want. Local character, tunnels, viaducts, classic stations, destinations at both ends [Cheltenham - Broadway], goods wagons with local merchants markings, GW brakevans [Cheltenham], classic infrastructure, even Royal Mail coach housing a model railway, DMU, Manor, Grange locomotives even a Bullied Pacific [ex Salisbury] plus a photographer(s) who have used thoughtful selections - wow Top Link job - BZ mate from "down under" KR Jon from Bribie Island Qld in the "Land of OZ"

Hardly anyone alive can recall the pre-1948 look (you have to be at least 80 to be aged 5 that year) - so why do the SVR not focus more on the BR steam years so many of us actually witnessed - and miss?

I was the yard master that day (chap in the suit and grease top) The rain just made it more atmospheric and fun. But I'm glad people had a good day besides the rain

I remember something similar happened on the EC mainline people had been standing for ages waiting to take photos of the Flying Scotsman and at the same time as it passed an up line GNER class 92 went by and about 50 people missed their shot!

I've seen the Flying Scotsman 3 times. Once at Norwich, once somewhere else in Norfolk and at St Germans, a small station in Cornwall.
