Lol this is such a good example of how we are our own worst critics. I didnt see anything unflattering. Just a lady giving advice.

I camp in my Yukon suv and at first I had insulated curtains for the front and the rear window I thought it would be easier than making the window covers but I ended up making the window covers for all the windows and the covers are so much easier to use tuck them into the frame done, and I just use a sun shade i got at Walmart for the front window, its insulated so it does the same thing as the covers. If I camp at a campground with electric I use a very small 500 watt heater sometimes that's even to much. If I don't have electric, I do have power from 2 Bluetti's for an electric blanket (I've never used it ) I also have a 20 degree sleeping bag and once my body heats the bag up its gets very warm. Stayed until the end!

I have the same window coverings for every day use. Also, noodles for my wipers. It protects my dash, keeps the car cool, noddles protect my wipers and make it easy to find my car in the parking lots when hidden by trucks or vans. Also, if I leave my dog in the car with the sun roof open and a fan and bowl of water she stays cooler and doesn’t bark. (I never leave her for more than 1/2 hour if running in to get milk and eggs quickly or something like that). She usually goes everywhere I do but she had ACL repair and now has arthritis so if I am traveling out of town and run into subway or something she stays in the car). If I am parked somewhere & waiting for some reason, and the sun is on my face they are helpful too! Cannot wait to use them for camping….🎉 Great video and great suggestions!

Hi, I just found you. I want to tell you that I have a Honda Odyssey that I also love. I haven’t traveled much in the last couple of years, but I’m getting ready to start back because I quit my job like you did. I’m 55 with grown kids. Anyway, a year ago I loaned my van to my son who was having car trouble and he hit a deer. I only had liability insurance. I had only paid $5900 for the van and the repairs were $5200. I had had it for four years at a point and it was only worth about $3500 so it was totaled. However, I figured that I wasn’t going to be able to buy another van that I trusted for $5000 so after going back-and-forth for a few days, I decided to fix my van because it was such a close call. I totally get the feelings of loss, when I was in that time of thinking that it was a total loss I was really in mourning. I love that little van.

Hi Dani, I’m a new subscriber and just love your channel, personality and contagious optimism! We are kindred spirits when it comes to that! I’m planning my camper van life now. I’m researching and consuming as much info as possible. The best ideas of gotten so far have been to not go crazy buying stuff in the beginning. Take a couple small trips to see what you’ll really need/use. I’m here for the journey!

How about renting a small U-haul? I see them advertised for $20 per day without a mileage fee. If you could, you could at least make a bed in the back!

Do any of your seats lie down? Forward or backward? So that you might be able to make a bed from front seat, including the backseat into the trunk. If the seats will lie flat.

Can u add some oil to the moving parts of the bed ? Check the fittings & c what they look like . I lived in my VW pop top van in the 70s when there was less amenities. Showers were hard to find but it was so pleasant as the roads were not crowed . I traveled x country . Good times . U will get settled in your van .mits like gettin g a new home or apartment takes awhile ❤

Love the van and the tour ! My 2Nd time camping in my van I made a video of my self van tour and with my Okie accent and my frequent repeat “it’s a game changer” I laughed so much at myself then I deleted it. My brother who was camped near by was disappointed I didn’t show the video to him .😂
