Micanopy,........ Being a "native Floridian," Raised in a small town just outside Tampa, My sisters and I often did things to keep the time going by after school and chores. How many times did we make up games?, walked in the woods 'cause there was nothing else to do. Cows were fed, farm row's have been hoed, so what seemed like forever back then is a "blink of the eye" now. My wife and I always drive to Micanopy to "get an ice cream," just to get away from the "craziness, and the stress of life. Started going the as a 18 year old with Mr Buck Carlton, who had kin there. He had kin over at Island Grove, where once a year or so he and I would go mow out the cemetery. Always had my ole Bluetick, "Hank" with me, until he passed right in front of the ice cream store, it was a bad day. At the "The Yearling Restaurant, my wife and I would get some food, and listen to Mr. Willie Green play some authentic blues, and sometimes breaking in the middle of a song to ask customer's about how good the food was, which was really one of the reason's to go there. Mr. Willie was just a "decent man." he's no longer with us, but he did leave us a great memory. Of course some of the "famous" movies filmed there were ok, but what cannot be filmed there is the "richness" of good honest friendly folks and a peaceful atmosphere. .I just hope the folks at Micanopy do not get woven into the pace of their surroundings. Micanopy is a "National Treasure."

It ACTUALLY could be a dealbreaker for Denise. She hasn't had to drive it, yet. But we're going to go for it and rent a place in 2025 for a few months and really get the feel for Athens to see if it still works for us. Thanks for watching!

This is where I live. We are crowded and Athens is slowly turning into nothing but a college town. UGA is great for money but it’s also slowly ruining us. Athens doesn’t pay employees enough to keep non students anymore and the rent is comparable to Atlanta now. I miss Athens pre covid. You won’t understand real Athens until you’ve lived here for a year. Visiting Athens makes it look great, living in Athens makes you poor.

As of 2022. Newport, RI residential zones are no longer permitted to rent their properties for less than 30 days, unless the home serves as a primary residence. For properties in the Limited Business Zone, short-term rentals are also prohibited, unless the owner of the property is granted a Special Use Permit by the Zoning Board of Review. They cracked down on Airbnb’s. The city is being bought up by people from New York.

OMG, this episode cracked me up. I’m with James. No washcloth use here. 🤦♀️ Felons can now vote only for president. I don’t wash my chicken ever. Salmonella, Campylobacter and other harmful bacteria live on raw chicken. Washing or rinsing doesn't remove this risk, it worsens it by helping the bacteria spread. When you add water through washing or rinsing, you give these bacteria a way to travel throughout your kitchen. I live within 20 miles of my family(dad’s side) and I don’t see any of them. Not even my dad or 2 sisters.

Listening to Stacy was so fascinating, what a great guest!! We’ve been to eight different Airbnb’s in the past seven years, and have never had a bad experience. Seven of them were driving vacations not flying so if I wasn’t sure a house would have what I wanted. I would just take it with me, especially kitchen necessities since I prefer to cook everything at home. I always scrutinize over the reviews & pictures, (there has to be a lot of them), of any Airbnb, and pay close attention to what’s listed as being included and have no expectations for anything else. You really just have to spend time in the research if you have it. We’re going back to our first AirBNB in Sorrento, Italy (Amalfi Coast) next year, and it’s a fabulous apartment right in the center of town and it’s only $128 a night! I’d never be able to afford a hotel stay in that location. I

@successwithstacee92904 ай бұрын
Oh my gosh there are so many. A few would be to make sure you have very comfortable mattresses, stock the kitchen with anything you may need to cook and make sure there is enough seating for the number of guest you have at the dining room table and sofa. It’s ok to bargain shop but get high quality furniture because it will last longer, cost you less in the long run and make the guests more comfortable. Once you spend a ton of money on the property and setting it up, spend the money on professional photography. You can also look in the area to make sure you the amenities the other ones have then add something extra. Make sure to get fully enclosed mattress and pillow encasements to prevent bed bugs and make everything more sanitary. Once it’s set up, have Denise and James stay there and they can let you know if anything is missing. 😊

Wow, what a touchy subject! Kudos to all. I think it matters what we listen to. If we listen to raunchy sex music, abuse or evil than that is what we think is normal and then these men can get away with abusing women sexually. Sex, sexuality and romance are way different and I think this music desensitizes and degrades the young minds and unstable people and confuses love and respect for a healthy relationship and maybe this is why so many black families are at a historic low percentage of fathers in their household. Just my opinion. I don't listen to that music although I've played it to hear it 😱 but I also don't listen to Taylor Swift either. I'm old school classic rock some Motown, jazz and soul with country and blues and Coffee house thrown in.
