My father a WW2 veteran used to buy surplus from the military since 1947, in 1950, my brother got a WW2 Army jeep from Mclellan Air Force Base, And took it out with his friends to see what it would do, they took it up a horse trail that was well known to the locals, the word spread in the next thing we knew, everybody was doing it and the Jeepers jamboree was founded! My brother passed away in 2005 but everybody into jeeps knows my family's name. 😡

Jeep pretty much died with the end of the TJ, XJ, MJ & ZJ with the 4.0L inline 6cyl... Starting in 2007 jeep became little more than mall crawlers & grocery giters for suburban weekend warriors...
