Back in the mid-1970's to the mid-1980's, while I was in the Land Rover parts business and also selling used Land Rovers, women were my best customers. There were men who spent more money on parts and accessories, but the women who drove Land Rovers were, by far, the best drivers off-the-road. They always learned quickly. They didn't argue. And unlike their instructor, they could multi-task. Since buying my first Jeep in 2012, I've met between a half dozen and a dozen women who owned and drove their own Wranglers. It's about time that Jeep starts working harder to market Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators to women. My wife bought a 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland diesel. We sold that prior to moving to the Hawaiian Island of Molokai. Now Debbie wants a Gladiator. I told her, "If you've got to have a Gladiator, it's got to be a Rubicon." She hadn't quite agree with this---fact---but, she's starting to come around to my idea that "Rubicon is THE best off-road 4-wheel drive vehicle." (My 2012 Wrangler unlimited is, of course, a Rubicon.) Unlike a certain other 4-wheel drive rig with a well-known name, my eleven year old "Ruby" still runs on its original rear axle shafts. Front, too. And no oil leaks. The speedometer and other instruments always work. The young man whose friends long ago nicknamed him "Land Rover Andy" is now a seventy-five year old Rubicon Andy." The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is, quite simply, THE BEST! Andrew "Andy" McKane IV, Maunaloa, Hawaii.

For 7 years I have been woken up by Remote Auto Horn Locking Noise which in some vehicles can be as high as 70- 100 decibels. This has been during a time when I have been trying to heal from a stroke ,open heart surgery, and various other cardiac issues including heart failure and arrhythmias. In the past two years I was repeatedly woken by a neighbor's remote horn locking their Jeep at 12:30 am as they parked at the complex I live at. Eventually I went outside to politely ask this man if he could lock the vehicle without the horn noise which is possible on all vehicles and he went into a wild tirade screammmminnnnggg at me. Not only has remote HORN HONK NOISE wrought havoc with my sleep but ( short version ) because Ive repeatedly had to ask people on my complex not to Horn Lock their vehicles, some have complained that I complain ( making me the " bad guy " and now my lease is not being renewed leaving me without a home and exhausted and feeling suicidal. I am not the only person suffering from this noise. When is Jeep going to fix this and eliminate HONKING remote locking with Light Flash Only lock and arm confirmation? I can turn off my own honk but I cant turn off anyone elses. That needs to be done at a manufacturing level. Jeep, are you getting Any if this??
