This is an example of a little bit of knowledge is dangerous. This guy sounds like he knows what he’s talking about, but he has no idea what he doesn’t know. DOT would have a field day with this guy he’s overweight doesn’t have a CDL he doesn’t have a medical card he doesn’t have a DOT number he doesn’t have a medical card he’s overweight on his axles he doesn’t understand how to balance the weight on his trailer he doesn’t understand how to figure out his weight carrying capacity. Like I said when DOT gets done with him he will be in the poor house. I’ll bet he doesn’t carry the proper weight registration on his truck or his trailer and I’m sure his truck is not rated for the kind of weight he’s pulling. I can’t believe Texas Pride built that trailer for this guy they must’ve seen him coming.

The “ noise “ with your landing gear is not metal on metal “. It’s just the hydraulic pressure being released from the cylinders going back through the system . Albeit not pleasant sounding, it’s normal. Awesome set up btw

Horrible designed trailer. Axles all the way back. Insane pin weight. That trailer will stress rhe fuck outta that truck. Go move the axles 3 ft forward thank me later !

Actually not at all. I thought the same until I started hauling with it. They are placed in the perfect place for hauling heavy loads and being able to lift it. If ilthe axles were placed further forward then the load would have to be placed further forward and that would make lifting and dumping difficult because of where the cylinders have to be mounted. I had a 12.5 ton loads yesterday and the entire truck weighed only 13,600 lbs. It's a 14,000 lbs rated truck. The front axle weighed 5,800 lbs and the rear axle weighed 7,800 lbs. Trailer axles were at 33,500 lbs so set up absolutely perfect.

I have owned this exact trailer 4 years and the axle placement is perfect, it's more stable it hauls better It's safer to dump for an uneven load And if you know trucks and trailers like I do, that's always the best set up even on gooseneck flatbeds, you notice the placement is near the rear..

Your turnbuckle mount on the back of the trailer are welded upside-down, door side is fine, trailer side is upside-down. They have that lip so when you flip them forward to dump the lip keeps them in place so the door doesn't smash them, after you dump.

I tried that at first but I couldn't swivel it with it that way so we flipped it around. But it swivels far enough in that it doesn't spin back when you dump it.

Piss on a cdl why does the government think they need to interfere on something some of us have been doing all our lives all so they can make money I agree with having a cdl for a semi, dump truck etc but for a pickup with a trailer behind it is a little ridiculous how about instead of messing with us why don’t they crack down on the dumbasses that pull out in front of us pulling a load just for us to have to slam on breaks and go their desired speed or come around us when we are in the right lane to get over in front of us and stop to turn instead of waiting a few extra seconds 🤷‍♂️

They’re great tires. The absolute best tires to use IF YOU OFF-ROAD with a lot of mud. If you tow like him. I highly do not recommend. If you get them purely for looks I still wouldn’t get them. I ran mine on my Tacoma (42”) and put nearly 40,000 miles and I’ve still got 1/4 tread left

Not really. I have a 22 f150 5.0 platinum and it’s Tune only. A single cab deleted tuned duramax couldn’t pass me up. We stayed neck and neck tho, his hood was next to my passenger side door the whole race. Up to 115mph

What tire pressure are you running? Looks way too high. You hardly have any wear on the edges. Probably need to drop 5 psi (or more!), just add 5 when your running the big tongue weight. Just because the tire says 70 psi on the side wall doesn't mean that's the pressure you should run day in/day out. Next time you get new tires, get a temp gun. Run the truck 15 minutes at highway speed and see what the tire temps are across the tire. You want event temps - measure outside edges and inside.

I suppose if you got a class V and running 1500 on the tongue... but clearly your tire is ballooning in the middle and wearing out in the middle. BTW, Before I figured it out, I ran through 2 BFG all terrains, about $270 a tire. Expensive way to learn...

Actually your 8th mile was faster and you lost that race on the line... approx .0300 of a second he got you off the line. There's your data. Good stuff man! Love my EB and yes with just a tune it can destroy most. Good race. People saying tire size and lift and everything else for the silverado leave out that it's procharged on methanol!!!... I mean he put thousands in that truck and the tune only ford held it boyzzz!!! P.s. I'm a lifelong gm guy with 3 in the driveway 2 cammed and modified. I daily a f150 3.5 eb.

Did you ever try again with the tune? I ran a 14.4 in my stock 2010 EB flex on 20s, then a 13.8 with a stage 1 SCT tune and I took out the middle seats and muffler delete. I'm curious how much faster you got.
