I've been playing pokemon for almost 20 years now. My first game was an old crystal version my cousin gave me. The one thing that has always stuck out to me about pokemon is the music. From my first time hearing new bark town's crunchy gbc tones, to now listening to postwick for literally no reason at 2am, 4.5 years after Sw/Sh came out. Even now I can almost cry from the random nostalgia that the hometown theme stirs up. I didn't even really like the gen 8 games, and haven't even fully played any games since gen 6. But the music will always bring me joy.

This was my first Pokémon game, back in 2020 when I got my switch. I don’t care what people say about it, but I really liked SWSH and still do. This theme will always hold a special place in my heart, and so will this game.

Bro I remember when I first went in wedgehurst I was like: this is alright and I bet to myself that I was gonna come back to this town. After I became champion I came to this town from postwick and got charmander, I got a flashback saying that I was gonna come back 😮

Every time I hear that part around 0:45, I feel like I need to stop what I’m doing, close my eyes, and just enjoy the song. This song is incredibly underrated and would fit right in some of the DS Pokémon games.

After I beat the game I felt so accomplished but the one thing is I came back here to postwick and look where I first started. I started sobbing so damn hard I couldn’t stop it was so hard to keep back those tears and this song makes me just so sad.
