2:57 I would have been surprised if it hadn't happened. Be careful, Pachypodiums are poisonous. No juice should enter the bloodstream☠.

First of all, I congratulate you for your patience and courage in making this very detailed video. Your love for plants is evident, as well as your desire to take one step by step, even with the difficulties of handling a plant with as many thorns as it is beautiful. My admiration for your patience and dedication. I am writing to you from Mexico. I have a Madagascar palm that has grown a lot and I did not know how to reproduce it. Once again, CONGRATULATIONS.

I have one of these I bought about a year ago from a vendor off of Etsy. He's about 4-5'" tall and in a small terra cotta pot. Great job potting. The only 2 things I would have done differently is that I would have added more perlite to the mix to make it drain better and I would have used a terra cotta pot. I'm looking forward to mine growing taller like yours and perhaps giving me pups or dividing. A friend of mine has a paddle plant or Kalanchoe luciae that's growing like crazy, BTW. Those are great succulents as well. Enjoyed the video. I've learned a lot from you. Keep the great videos coming! 🪴🌴🌵

I am having problems with mine, it looks like sap is on the new leaves and it browns them and destroys them😢. It's growing cool too. How do I fix this I don't want to loose it

On your cutting, will you replant it only when roots come out? Or, do you put in sand immediately so roots will sprout in the sand?

Would have been easier if you measure the diameter first then draw a circle with a compass on the plastic lid, the make a small hole on the edge of the drawn s Circle for a starting place to cut the hole with scissors

These are great plants. East to maintain, sun loving, long living, and attractive as well. A nice addition to anyone's succulent collection. I have one that's just a baby of about 4-5" tall and hope to have for many years. I love succulents because they're practically maintainance free.

Hi. I love your program as you give so many hints for pachis. I’m from Mexico, I have a pach. Baronii. Its trunk is going soft and Im afraid it has no good roots to absorb water. They arent rotten but too short and dry. Tried watering to see if it hardens but it doesn’t. Do you recommend to cut the base and try to root it? I even left its bare roots in water for a day but nothing happened. I’d be grateful to read you.

I'm so glad I found your channel and I promptly subscribed. I'm Dale Andrews from Lake Charles, LA and am a home plant enthusiast who's partial to succulents I just ordered one today via Amazon and need to watch as many instructional videos as I can before it arrives in a few days. Let me give you my opinion on the cutting shown at 0:23. From what I can see and from my experiences, it looks like a goner. You may see a few signs of life near the top, but that's only because the ongoing rot hasn't reached the top yet. You may decide to try and propogate it, though. I'd cut the top 1 or 2" off the top and get rid of the bottom 90%. Dip the potentially viable tip's end in rooting powder, pot it completely separately, and lightly water. If it's still viable, you should see progress in it putting out some new green growth from it a few days to a week. I'd even give it 2 weeks. If it still looks poor then, well you're probably done. Thanks for the new videos and happy gardening! 🪴🌴😉

Nice to see a video about Pachypodium. I'm in the south of Spain and have some year-old P. lamerei from seed and doing well - have just ordered four other species of Pachypodium and am looking forward to growing those.

I got mine at a bodega for like $10. Its shooting fresh green leaves at the top but the spines are brown at the tips and the body (trunk?) looks a little scrawny
