You being from the mountains should make a video capturing when to use snow chains, when to deflate and right way to drive in different depth of snow or ice.

@RoadsOfTheMountains13 күн бұрын
@@unnichan8653 Hi, Its been more than a year now.Our 235s have not given a single problem.Yes you can easily put this tyre size without worries. Only under VERY extreme articulation scenarios the 235 might touch the under side.Mind it VERY EXTREME ARTICULATION ONLY. apart from that there are no issues. They look and feel amazing on the Jimny.

In simple words , larger circumference will lead to a torque deficit on a small capacity engine. Also the larger wheel weighs more. Rule of thumb for an Upsize setup is increase the wheel size by 1 inch and circumference by 3 %. Rubbing and touching is a petty issue.
@agungprabowo92623 ай бұрын
thanks a lot for sharing. Previously i am in doubt to upgrade my 3 doors jimny tyre. Now i fully understood the impact of the upgrading to 235. I decide to stay on my 215 even though the looks is not as good as for those using 235.
@TheBendixSA3 ай бұрын
235 is the width, yet everything you discussed has to do with the circumference of the tire. thought it was scraping the inner wall on full articulation. you just need a 40mm lift and you will be sorted, im more interested in the sidewall clearance on the inside with 235's

Extremely helpful video. Pls share ur views on - Can we engage 4L during a offroad hairpin turn climb in Ladakh mountain passes? Since u already mentioned that the wheels should not be turned during 4H 4L engagement. What does one do when climbing hairpin turn offroad mountains?
@RoadsOfTheMountains3 ай бұрын
Hi,thanx for tuning in. During the OFF-ROAD hair pin turns you can engage 4L or 4H without hesitation.The loose terrain beneath the tyres will allow for easy movement after 4 X 4 engagement. But on paved or metalled Hairpins it is not recommended to use this system untill one is extremely stuck( which will not happen on paved roads). So yes you can use the 4 X 4 system on OFF-ROAD hairpins in mountains.Go ahead worry free. Regards

@RoadsOfTheMountains5 ай бұрын
Hi,thanx for catching up. Keep it simple 215 for the most comfort, 235 for the best practical aesthetics 225 is best of both the worlds the middle way out. 235 does not interfere with clearance mostly,however the front bumper needs a slight trim for the best accomodation of the 235s. I have managed to live happily with my 235s without the lift. If you dont want to trim the bumper,go with 225s If you want most comfort and looks dont matter go with 215s. Regards.
