RR 64 was a must for me growing up because I could get in a quick race before school - within SECONDS, I could fire up the system and get into a race

I finished the game now and it was ... okey i guess. First of all i cant restart the stages. I can only go into menu and load my save. So i need to race same tracks all over again that i already finished because i cant finish the another one. That was frustrating. The settings for the vehicle does not matter - i was able to finish with Evo UK and my Evo was a mess and i stopped fixing it cause every time when i load my save, it does not save my fixes for the car. Like cmon yo. Same goes for controls, sometimes the game would save them, sometimes when booting up the game i had to do it again. During Italy races when i gently touched some wall i was bounced into trees. Lot of times the physics messed up my race over insanely trivial things. Bushes will slow down the car so much it is absurd. It was a fine experience.

When i try to download eduke32, McAfee says that the file is 'dangerous', can anyone help?

i wanna play the ps2 version so bad but don't have a controller. and the keyboard controls are probably awful

EDuke32 for regular DN3D and mission packs, Red Nukem for DN64.

It's so amazing that this has recently got an Amiga port! Thanks for reminding me about controlling the nose being required during the jumps. I have been getting into a bounce feedback loop when hitting the ground and that is probably why due to hitting the ground nose down!

RR type 4 definitely didn't look better than RR64. This is one of the best looking racing games on the N64 and the ps1 simply wasn't capable of graphics this good.

This is my favourite game of the franchise. And the game that made me fall in love with the franchise. Also Surprisingly is the only racing game that i use the cockpit camera instead of the Behind the car view.

Doom has a much larger modding scene and has more source ports than any of the other 3 games. And the only true source port to choose for blood is the nightdivr remaster. Duke nukem's only sequel is Dnf which is one of the worst video games of all time. Shadow warrior has also bad sequels. DOOM was the first and it will be the last to die

It's sad the games are unavailable on steam due to the Randyning, more people should play these for sure. Also they remade these only for evercade and still fucked up with the glasses! HOW

R4 was good, yes, but Ridge Racer 5 was pretty great and Ridge Racer 7 was phenomenal.

Raze has to be my top pick, user-friendly and it's able to emulate other build engine games, not just DN.

This is after the video got released but Silent has later released the "Combined Disc" tool which let you merge the Arcade Mode Disc and the Simulation Mode Disc into one Combined Disc where you can select both modes from within the menu. This will work with both the cheats above, as with GT2 plus. Make sure to patch GT2 plus before all that and that you use the cheats meant for the Simulation Disc when using the Combined disc. You may already know about this, but it's for those who look at this video just now.

It is quite apt to use Duke Nukem 3D for this review. Next to Dusk, I have to say this is probably one of the most authentic looking retro "boomer shooterS" we've received in this several years long wave. It's actually an incredibly impressive technical achievement to get Unity to pull this off as well as it does. Some people will make the mistake of thinking its just a matter of not using sophisticated lighting models or turning off certain features, and while that is part of it, you also have to authentically recreate the "game feel" for something like the BUILD engine. You have to have to technical skill and knowledge to accurately recreate the 90s pre-rendered sprites look. You have to at least competently understand the way textures were paletized and dithered in those days. It's not just "slap some crappy art in Unity and its good to go."

Another funfact about the crossbow that you didnt mention and a tiny correction: The Crossbow can shoot through walls and you can kill an enemy by spinning your gun. there is even an achievement for it.

eDuke32, Raze, and even the world tour edition on steam, are the ones I like

EDuke32 is my favorite however I think Duke 64 is a Better game than vanilla Duke 3D... Also I really want the texture resize modes from GZDooM/Raze added to Eduke32 as well as being able to look directly up and down.

Honestly don't get the hate for 20th Anniversary. Sure, there are better options, but there are loads of accessibility features, the new episode is great, and the ambient occlusion adds some extra atmosphere. It plays really well right out of the box, and it's only real major detraction is lack of expansions (which, let's be honest, are a bit rough).

There was no reason to really play the DS version from the outset, unless no other options were available. The visuals were a downgrade; there was nothing new of note added, and the controls I can't even imagine trying to play this game using a stylus, but the d-pad option is still not a good substitute for the N64 analog stick, as these courses get rather challenging in the later stages of the game and require precision controls. It would have been best to develop the DS version as a unique and exclusive version with a mix of classic tracks but also DS exclusive ones best suited to its hardware. For the N64 version I enjoyed the exclusive canyon tracks as well as the night city stage and including the tracks from Ridge Racer and Ridge Racer Revolution kind of made the early PS1 versions obsolete; it was a good mix.

This review is for now, the only one to cover how you're supposed to get some of the other Grand Prix cars, of all the reviews I have seen💖!
