The hawthorn effect is the phenomena where subjects of a study change their behavior due to being studied or observed (basically, people want to be on their best behavior because they’re being watched). I wish this video could better detail how the hawthorn effect was connected to the creation of HRM… they seem unrelated as shown

Subordination of Individual Interests to the General Interest: The interests of the organization as a whole should take precedence over the interests of any individual employee or group of employees.
