What if I don't want people to even see other libraries on the same site?

Scheduling works fine for getting a news post to be live and accessible to end-users. However, to get a news post to appear in the News Web part, the "Post as news on this site" needs to be clicked after it is scheduled to be published. I've found that you can't actually do this until after the date and time of the scheduling. This seems to be a flaw in the Scheduling feature when you want an article to appear on your home page in a news web part (carousel or other news web part display on your intranet home page) because you have to actively click this option to get the article to a Promoted State of 2 that makes it visible in your news web parts. Anyone else have the same experience?

Is there a way to enable this for the entire organisation ?

Hi Great Vid,When i try to share externally it shows "You can only share within your organization".No matter if i select Anyone or the New and Existing Guests option

Thank you for everything you post about SharePoint! <3 I have encountered an issue with allowing users to add their own terms to an existing term set. My goal is to have a defined term set that also allows users to add new terms such that term set managers can merge new terms with existing ones, add synonyms, etc. I am site owner. I have created an Open, site-level Term Set, and made myself Manager of the Term Set. I was able to add the managed metadata column to the library and point to the correct term set. I enabled "Allow users to type new values" and "Allow multiple values". When testing (edit in grid view), I am able to add multiple pre-defined terms, but any time I type in a new term it gives an error that says, "The given term is not valid." and it won't let me save the changes. I also tried creating a managed metadata site column configured in the same way as above, adding this column to a new content type and then creating a new file from that content type and attempting to edit the managed metadata for that and it was still unsuccessful. I appreciate any advice you can offer!

Hi Maven, The metadata tags works fine in document libraries. But the settings to enable it isn't visible under Permissions and management. Please advise on how to make the setting visible

Please is it possible to integrate map view to Location field column? so that map view will display for each location address populated?

I Greg . I have created a 'Hub ' (communication site), and and 'associated some other 'team' sites to this hub. The idea being that ALL documents and folders will be located in my 'Teams' sites. The only reason for creating my HIB site is to share the link with 'ANYONE' so i cna publish news etc, etc, ( much as an internet site) and ANYONE interested in checking the news in my HUB site can easily do so. I do not want to share my 'associated' Team sites with extrenal users though. ( so i cna keep them pout of reach of my files an folders. Hene the purpose of my communication site will be prettry much like any internet site. It looks like 'Sharepont' doe sNOT allow me to do such things. Is this correct ? Thanking you in advance. One question I have - if you already have hundreds of people with access to your sharepoint team site, when you go to create the MS Team - will they all be notified that they have automatically been added? We want to create the site now, but not officially launch it until the end of the month - so we don't want people to know it exists when we create it.
