I always find myself coming back to this cover. For me, it has superseded the original. When I think of Heat Waves, I think of this. It hits differently, in a softer, more soulful way. It brings the lost, almost mournful feelings of a long past summer love. The melancholy emotion pairs with the beautiful voice work in a way that just blasts me with nostalgia despite the song not being all that old. It achieves that uncanny effect of making me miss something I've never had.

This song appears out of nowhere when I am in the shopping mall in Malaysia. When back home, told my wife I need to find this song, I really need to hear it again and again. It took a while because I cannot remember it, she brought out Justin Bieber. So it must be a japanese cover... Search and search and I am finally here.. Haha!
