Thank you, especially for noting the different APP capacities. I had been confusing 30A and 70A connectors (Duh). You would be amazed at how badly a 30A connector can get mauled by the 75A die. Using the right tool provides much better results. ;-)

Awful. What’s the point of having an rv if they will be in a barrio among chusmas, noise and obnoxious barking dogs?
@gordonfreeman3072Ай бұрын
Agree with this.
@DiyRVandHomeАй бұрын
You are so misinformed, yes there is areas of congestion and noise. That is comforting to some and that is how they feel safe. Others like us enjoy our space and privacy that we have, we walk out our door and see nothing but desert during the day. At night we can see the light of the interstate and Quartzsite off in the distance. Sure there are some generators that do run at times, not all the time and the rv's do tend to respect quiet times and turn them off. As far as dogs barking, we hear more coyotes yapping than dogs barking. Our closet neighbor is about 50 yards away from. Go stay in an rv park where when you fart you have to say excuse me because your neighbor heard you.

I have the same cooler. I bought a thermistor on ebay. When I went to replace it, I found, to my surprise, that there was a spare thermistor already installed. All I had to do was unplug the old and plug in the spare. All good and working now. I suppose this is why they come in pairs when you buy replacements. Cheers

Did replacing the seal work? We have a 310 with the exact same issue, the seal is not centered and does not hold water. Even after making sure the factory original was clean and greased.
@CampersLife2 ай бұрын
Yes it did help with sealing the bowl. Periodically applying grese will help.

@DiyRVandHome2 ай бұрын
Check all connections, at the board and at the gas valve. Double check you have the correct board and it is properly configured with the jumper. If that doesn't help the manufacture does offer excellent support.

We just bought a used Helio O2 trailer and one of the side marker lights is out. It looks like the oval reflector is stuck onto the side of the trailer with a hole in the middle. The LED light sticks through the hole. I'm thinking there might be tabs behind it holding it in but before I go any further, have you ever had to remove a side marker that wasn't working to repair/replace it? Thanks, John from MI
@DiyRVandHome3 ай бұрын
If the side marker light is led then usually the whole marker is replaced.

I have a similar gauge attached to my BBQ, though it only has a single range. One thing to bear in mind is the pressure, which these measure, is determined by Charles' law (look it up on Wikipedia) which describes the relationship between pressure and temperature of gases in a fixed volume. It says that for a fixed volume pressure is proportional to temperature. So, if you double the temperature, you get double the pressure. However, that is temperature expressed in Kelvins or degrees Celsius above absolute 0. The freezing point of water is 273 K (0° C) and boiling point is 373 K (100° C). However, I doubt you'll be operating at temperatures near the boiling point. Typically, at least for BBQs, you might be at 20° C (293 K) to 35° C (308 K). That 15° C temperature range is trivial when compared to 0 K or -273° C. So, the gauge should give a good indication of how full the tank is, but you can't expect precision. As an experiment, check the level on a hot day and again late at night, after things have cooled down, without using any propane in the mean time.

For me I’ve found a big (like 10”) vice grip, twist back and forth and pull, is about the fastest and easiest way to plunk those out.
@Derpherppington6 ай бұрын
U could of use any little 5$ pulley and a rope. But u got that fancy ramp so u could of just push it up without any rope rig. That’s what I did on my 15k btu window AC it’s weight same as this but gotta get up to taller window and two thin piece of 1x. It’s like caveman Egyptian building pyramid
@DiyRVandHome6 ай бұрын
I could have also just lifted it into the back of the truck as I have done several times. I built this so that my almost anyone could load the generator safely. As far as the pulley and rope are concerned I will continue to recommend and use a system that is rated to handle the load not a 5 dollar pulley and any rope I find. Thank you for your comment
@inspectorh45486 ай бұрын
just use slightly larger diameter screws lock washers. otherwise your "stuck" with the catch in that position forever. Differences in temperature will change the alignment ........ and then you'll be stuck making another video trying to unstick that stuff.
@DiyRVandHome6 ай бұрын
That repair worked great, from below freezing temps to above 100 degrees. If the issue was to again happen I would have just pried the piece off and reattached it.

I saw you did this video on the Thetford Aqua-Magic II and you did a previous video on the Dometic 320. I currently have the Dometic 300 with the urine leaking into the inside problem that is posted all over the internet. Anyway, wondering about the Dometic 320 versus the Thetfor Aqua-Magic II. We want to do an upgrade as soon as possible and would just like your thoughts on the 2 different toilets - which one did you prefer and why? Thanks in advance!!
@DiyRVandHome6 ай бұрын
I will say both did a great job, the Dometic has the ability to replace the seal without removing the toilet, so that is the one that I would have to recommend. Just remember to keep the seal lubed to prevent the water from leaking out of the bowl.

EVERY wall anchor review is with drywall, drywall, drywall, drywall, drywall; even extremely thorough Project Farm does NOT test wall anchors into thin wood or paneling! AGHHHHHH! I have a house built in 1989 and I'm trying to anchor the back brackets for the silverware drawer ball bearing slides into thin mushwood (MDF) and paneling. This DIY RV and Home is first and ONLY video to review anchors specifically for thin wood and paneling. Honest to God, he must be some kind of genius sent from heaven

Thank you for your wonderful comment. It is people like you that give me the desire to continue creating videos.
@DUCKSAREEVILLLLLLLL6 ай бұрын
@@DiyRVandHome Thanks for that. That type of plastic anchor is the best type for thin wood, paneling, plastic, etc. However, I discovered something that I forgot I had in the garage: Threaded rivets. For my application where I have access to both the screw side and the threaded rivet side (the entire 4 drawer drawer cabinet and Formica top is removable), I have found them to be superior to any rivet available. T-nuts hold even better, but the wall has to be rigid enough to hammer on. For RV applications where you usually don't have access to the front and back of a wall, your recommendation is still the best. Thanks again!
