RV Water pump check valve failure / Installing inline check valve

So you instal next to the pump where the pump pulls to the straner right ?

I installed on the discharge side of the pump. This way it is not trying to suck through the check valve.

The check valve problem is not in the pump it’s at your street fill port

That check valve you are referring to is to prevent water from coming out of the city connection when the water pump is on. The one that I am dealing with is to prevent water from filling the fresh water tank when connected to city water. There are two check valves in the system.
