I used to own a '66 Charger w/ 383 badge (mine had a 440 in it when I purchased) and it if I recall (I am old and it was awhile ago) it did not even have the cutout options for the two induction cowls. Maybe they were there but I'd have thought if i seen them I'd wonder what option they were for... Look on the trunklid for any signs of a tailwing - they weren't like the Daytona or B's wing, they were maybe 1-2" tall. I'd suspect it was a NASCAR Program car but it seems odd they'd do that with an A/C engine. I'd also think a NAS Prog car would only be a 426 or a 440, but who knows? Best bet is the door and fender tag to see what's up.

My friend in high school , became highway patrolman around 73 and used to let me ride some nights against rules in his new Dodge Polara 440. It would barely spin the tires but seemed to have an "extra" passing gear i have not experienced since. I think it shifted again over 100 mph and I made him come off it around 120, but still had lots more. It had a strange single huge exhaust pipe in the middle., looked like something on a bus , never seem another. It had top end from heck. I was driving my moms 69 thunderbird 429 4v. It was very strong , never afraid to pass and beat lots of muscle cars on top end. .

As cool as this is, nobody can afford the 3 gallons of fuel used in this clip. I miss cars like this driving around me. I drive open top and the electric orchestra of artificially produced driving sounds is incomparable to the symphony of a V6 and the powerblubber of old V8's. Getting old sucks less than losing the memories of the good old times.

Man, I WISH I had a neighbor with a car that sounded this nice! I'm stuck in an area where they all have these new near silent shit piles, and I guarantee if this badass showed up in my neighborhood, someone would pitch a bitch,and the cops would probably be called. Only thing I could suggest, is maybe finish the ramp into the garage, so there's less chance of hitting the underside on anything. Are there any changes planned for the car? Suspension? Paint? Or just the maintenance it may need in the future?
