I appreciate you explaining a way to remember the sign, like "take the information and put it in your head". That's how I remember signs better!

I decided to start learning sign language and this video made it easy to learn this little tidbit. I'm just a little embarrassed that I found it 13 years after it was posted 😂

Great! Actually, I am going to teach it to my dog, with the words he already knows, then eventually just with the sign. BTW the answer is always STARVING.

Thank you a lot for this! I’m learning ASL mainly because sometimes when I’m tired or overwhelmed, i’ll go nonspeaking, and I’d like an alternative way to communicate other than typing. I also believe it would just be a helpful language to have if I ever encounter a deaf person!

Careful with the sign MEET. It is a directional sign. Each finger represents a person in the meeting and should come from the direction they are coming from. So you are represented by one and it starts by you. The other is representing the other person who stands in front of you, so the finger should be in their direction and come to meet in the middle. You have them meeting West to East when it should be North and South. The YOU is not used because it is shown in the picture just signed. Just saying.

**MANY THANKS!** My own hearing is fine, but I have had the BEST LUCK: I just moved to a new town, and my brand-new hair stylist is hearing impaired (some). I told her I was interested in learning ASL & she was 100% *OVERJOYED*! I'm SO GLAD to have found your site!
