So filter in the return plenum good to use Air whip and blow dust towards furnace. Filter at return register you use your plastic cover which is bigger than the one that's used for the floor registers.

I'm looking to start an air duct business near Melbourne Florida. It's humid here so I think there's a good market. Previously had a carpet/tile cleaning business for 16+ years but I'm looking for something I can do fewer jobs and make more money. How good is the training when you buy the entire Ram Air system?

I don’t know why they show that compressor that DeWalt compressor that is nowhere near powerful enough I’m a 25 year air-conditioning contractor and I’m telling you you’re not gonna be able to clean a duct Board and flex system with that you need at least 12 CFM and 150 to 175 psi I use a 175 psi 20 CFM compressor and there’s instances where I could use more air and the 6.5 HP stainless steel rigid shop vac works just as well as that $2000 vacuum they’re going to try to sell you I bought that system and it’s crap by a proper compressor and the whip kit and Skipper ball lines and the shop vac and you will do much better than that system and those clear vacuum boxes are pretty cool but not for $300 go buy a sheet of plexiglass and make your own I build those boxes for about $50 apiece and I can custom make them to the size I need sorry I’m a little late on the comment hopefully you have not spent $4000 Plus a compressor yet

Let's look at this with common sense. You connect the ram air hose to what a vent in one of the rooms? This then sucks through the cold air return through the heating coils through the air conditioning unit while the furnace is on blowing the air to one of the vents or is it now underneath the furnace you're now sucking from. This makes no sense. Furnaces in Canada are way different and this would never work on it. You made the fire alarm go off as well. Your five star ratings were all fake accounts who's name is Harry Baller.
@honkingantalope3 жыл бұрын
This is impressive, but if the main trunkline is square and the branch lines are on top how are you going to pull anything out. how is a hose going to pull a can through.

@davidhart91063 жыл бұрын
RamAir's specialty is commercial building and disaster/forensic restoration (residential home duct cleaning is a snap); RamAir is highly effective at cleaning all types of HVAC. Since the HVAC's blower IS the RamAir air mover, the air moving machine RamAir uses on each duct cleaning job is always perfect for that particular situation, chosen by the HVAC engineer who designed the system we're cleaning.

lol, I've cleaned literally millions of feet of residential and commercial ducts over the course of 3 decades. Let's take your "questions" one at a time. Type "RamAir cleaning return duct with a whip" into KZbin, and you'll see me cleaning (polishing actually) a return duct. Furnace blower is cleaned in the process, just not shown here. Main trunk lines are accessed via the supply lines. All supply lines lead to trunk lines. It's certainly your choice to use whatever system you want, and I applaud you if you're doing a good job.

Good question. In the event that the coil won't be properly protected during the cleaning, the air handler is turned off and the return is cleaned in the other direction.

@@honkingantalope "He" is me. When cleaning the supplies, yes, always have the air handler running. In the case of the return duct(s), run the air handler only if/when there is a filter at the furnace. Just because you've never seen it happen, doesn't mean it isn't happening. There are hundreds of videos of the RamAir system cleaning ducts on KZbin. Type in "RamAir duct cleaning" and check 'em out. ;)

@@davidhart9106 you're full of crap. How do you clean the blower motor and cold air returns with the furnace being on. Why doesn't he show every step. Why do other companies turn off their comments. Because people who actually use proper tools would tell everyone else their lying. I use a skipper on the heating vents and octopuss fingers on the main trunk lines and cold air returns. He's using a vacuum to clean a whole house from one place at a time, why not just vacuum out the lines by hand it's same thing.

@@honkingantalope "you're full of crap", what a sweet sentiment with which to begin your intelligent post. I'm absolutely not full of crap, I'm full of testimonials from clients praising the work we do.
