Great information, and well presented! Do you offer pudendal nerve decompression? There are various kinds of diagnostic pudendal nerve blocks, and I know that, in theory, only more distal parts of the nerve are numbed by a block. I also know that even the blocks at the ischial spine aren't easy to do. Ive had 4 and 2 missed. Knowing the various locations on the nerve where blocks can be done would REALLY help PN patients to isolate exactly where the nerve is being irritated. Knowing that would be of tremendous help in deciding on treatment options - especially for surgical approach selection for decompression surgery. Can you please list the different potential locations for blocks and what each block is called, so we know what to ask for?

My son suffered a peroneal nerve injury due to open book pelvic fracture three months ago. Praying his nerve regenerates and he can walk again eventually! He's working really hard. I purchased R-ALA and he's taking that daily. I will look into the others mentioned. He already takes a multivitamin as well. I wonder why the hospital does not start giving some of these things IMMEDIATELY that stop apoptosis when someone comes in with a nerve injury?

Thanks for a very informative video, I developed PN years ago from a bad fall while backcountry skiing and I was lucky that it went away after awhile (it was misdiagnosed as peripheral neuropathy). I recently developed PN again while taking Cipro for a bout of UTI. When I first felt the sensation of pain in the right side of my groin I went online to research side effects of Cipro and found lots of reliable sites that simply said "do not take Cipro if you have ever had nerve issues. I'm wondering if you're familiar with this side effect and also if nerve damage from Cipro presents a different challenge for treatment.

sorry to hear but yes, CD by itself can be very poor results but doing a bone marrow concentrate injection with or without CD is very beneficial .... finding a doc that specializes in ortho-biologics is ideal or surgeon that does a minimially invasive CD (smallest needle possible) and can inject bone marrow concentrate into the lesion is key!

So is this most often caused by a spur, or by a thickened plantar fascia? I ask because I want to know if shockwave is a good option for me. If it’s thickened soft tissue, it’ll work, if it’s a spur, it won’t, since the shockwave can realign ligament tissue but not break down bone. Thanks

Is it possible that pudental nerve lies under left sitbone not over it? I have all symptoms after sitting (especially after sitting on bicycle saddle) or stretching this areas. But in my case I can feel this nerve just under skin below left buttock.

Yes but would probably try PRP before stemcells for sports hernia - muscle and muscle-tendon junctions are easy to heal as long as not a large defect

Hello Doc. I suffer from bilateral plantar fasciitis. I have pain on both Abductor Hallucis muscles and discomfort that can be annoying. On the other hand, I have been taking Gabapentin for a short time. My question to her is, I got the injury by standing and walking barefoot for hours only on hard floors. Can the nerves, like the Baxter nerve, also be compressed too much by it? And does a Bacter neuropathy with the Abductor Hallucis pain go away by itself with the healing of plantar fasciitis? I would be pleased to receive an answer. Greetings from Germany, Thomas.
@crispycruiser4654

It depends what’s causing it. If it’s caused by a thickened plantar fascia or hypertrophic (swollen) muscle, then shockwave therapy can reduce inflammation and take pressure off the nerve. If it’s caused by a heel spur, none of these things can break down bone. In that case surgery would be required

Could you redo the cheat sheet with contrasting colors - white on light beige is really hard to see and read. Maybe white on dark blue or black, or black on white like a printed page. Or a link to a text or pdf list. Just because it looks pretty doesn’t make it useful or useable.

I gave this video a dislike as the sound had a great deal of clicks, gaps, uming and ering and other noises that could easily have been removed with an hour or so of editing. The speaker is not shown so the normal excuse of not wanting to create jump-cuts does not apply.

@@dr.markleregenerativeortho9552 Ok so two of those links are the exact same study. The two studies that are there show that PRP was helpful initially but then at 6 months the results are identical between the PRP group and the non PRP group. I am very interested in the potential of things like PRP and stem cell therapy etc, but we should make sure we don't overstate the evidence. Would you agree?

Thanks for your information it was useful and wonderful, 18 months ago I got inversion during a football match however I did an X-Ray but it didn't show anything and the doctor told me that it is not serious go and rest for a few days then slowly start your exercises again after rest I have done after rest when I started doing sport pain started again until it became worse. I have referred back to doctor he told me to do MRI and the following is the result of MRI: 1. Subchondral fracture of dome of talus bone with associated surrounding moderate edema. 2. Mild free fluid in tibiotalar joint space. 3. Sprain of anterior tibiotalar ligament. since that time i have used different medicines under treatment of doctors the front pain is solved but still pain suffers me from the right side and back of ankle some them of doctors say that there is no need for surgery it will be ok in the feature but some says that it wouldn't be back to its normal situation and also no chances of surgical operation. And one thing to be mentioned that there is no instability of ankle I can walk even run but after the muscles becomes starts its pain looking forward for your kind instructions.

I have severe lumbar spinal stenosis at multiple joints, which causes terrible low back and sciatic pain. I am trying to avoid surgery by doing daily stretching and exercise as well as taking the right supplements. I've been refining my supplement stack for the past year and it definitely helps. I am currently taking b complex, magnesium complex, vitamin c, ubiquinol, pqq, ala, and acetyl l-carnitine. These supplements taken together have the added benefit of improving overall health and longevity, so that's a bonus. I've only been been taking this group for a few weeks, but I've already seen a reduction in pain and better energy levels, despite the fact that I don't get much sleep. I hope everything continues to improve.
