I quit too this week without having any plan B , my health was deteriorating because of the stress and the work load, I am 34 years old btw , an English teacher worked for almost three years in a private school, not easy at all , always tired and no social life at all because of the lack of time or energy. I couldn't continue living like this, still don't know what is my next step , all I know for sure now is that I want to rest.

I made up my own! 1. 30-60 min walk per day and 3 additional workouts per week (I'm out of shape so started here) 2. 2L of water a day (weak bladder and don't want to be in the bathroom all day) 3. Follow a diet with no cheats (mine is intermittent fasting with no junk food, no alcohol). 4. Work on my songwriting every day (in place of reading, as I'm already a big reader). 5. Progress pics every day I agree that it really is a mental toughness challenge. I'm very undisciplined and I also need to lose 40-50 pounds so this is perfect.

Omg 😢thank you so much for making this video! This is exactly what I’m going through right now. Omg!!! The freaking emails and the constant micromanaging, toxic environment, and the PTO situation. I can’t take PTO without feeling that I’m doing something wrong. It is a constant necessity to question why in the freaking world do I need to take time off! And that’s without counting the burn out sensation. Lord!

Yesss queen! Stride 100%!! Lol I use this for my other gigs like Instacart and DoorDash. The only reason why I miss my w2 job is the taxes were pretty much taken out of site and out of mind. Lol when you make $4000 in a month via contracting gigs and need to stash $800 (minimum) of that away for tax season… OUCH 🤕 lol it hurts a little 😂

Leave your job. Quit. It’s not worth the stress. It might be scary at first but you have to remember that things always work out. Think back at those times you never thought you’d make it through a bad situation but you did in the end. The toxic bullies, the unappreciative managers, the backstabbing selfish coworkers-they’ll all get what’s coming to them. You’re meant to be in much better environments. Move on to bigger and better things. Start by taking care of yourself first and then upwards from there.

I left my job yesterday, it was becoming difficult day by day to survive there.. So, I finally took a decision to quit and heal myself. I'm happy with my decision. After all, health and peace should be the priority

Youll see its the best decision. remember employers are not there to look out for your health mental or physical. They only care about their bottom line. If you have an issue it’s your issue and if the company has issues, that also becomes your issue. see how that works? Best of luck to you going forward.

I’ve roommates most of my life, and I’ve come to realize that my one non negotiable would be to love other introverts who don’t necessarily want to be friends/have movie nights/talk, etc. Needy roommates are the kids sofndeath for me 😕

Today I left my badge and office keys on my desk and emailed my resignation letter after my shift. In the letter I asked to mail my check to my address (even though I filed a direct deposit) two days prior). I will mail them my parking pass and make sure to have them sign it. However, I received a voicemail stating to come into the office and sign a formal resignation letter in order for them to release my check. Seriously? I choose to be at peace with all this.

Watching things like this always manage to make me cry or become misty. I am currently in the process of trying to upload animations on youtube. I realized almost 3 years ago (when I was 30) that this 9 to 5 is not for me. I seriously am trying my best to get out but it is so hard when you have bills pay and cannot just "quit." Honestly wish I could though. I do not have kids and I don't feel like I want any, but theres no way I can even factor a child in doing this job if I wanted a kid. It literally burns me out. I would continue going to college for animation but I do not even agree with going into debt doing classes that do not mean anything. I wish it were simple to just draw or animate one day and then BOOM make money that way. Let me know what you did if you can cause I'm seriously that desperate.

Literally this. I no longer care about what I’m doing at work, I’m not passionate anymore, and it’s long days of manual labor, for barely a livable wage. I put in my notice today and I feel euphoric

This video was so helpful for me. I quit my toxic job two months ago and had another job lined up. I was such a mess from the first job, that I quit the second one three days into it. Now I'm feeling like such a failure but I'm trying to remind myself that things will work out. I was going through the same things you describe: couldn't sleep at night, racing heart, trouble focusing, angry all the time. Thanks for posting.

working on your time off is allowing your employer to steal your labour. And its not your fault, you have no protections, no back up to stand up for you as a human who needs time off. It comes from a fear of being unemployed and being screwed because the bills don't stop. You could do everything right, and still get fucked over by the company. This is the hellscape of being a worker, you are not a human, you are not a person, you are a cog in a wheel.

It really just sounds like your employer didn't respect your personal time. I'm thankful to have worked at a few companies now where PTO was well respected. They're definitely out there. That said, going freelance and building consistent long-term clients does sound WAY more appealing.

Holy crap! Thank you for posting this. I recognize so many of the symptoms. Deep down I knew it was related to my job, but it helps immensely to hear another person validate the same experiences. The teeth grinding, the irregular periods, the random forgetfulness. Not many people understand, so I appreciate you being openly transparent in your video.

It’s insane because I am experiencing the same symptoms. I take pills to sleep everyday. I drink more than the usual. I have zero energy and I am very unhappy. Unfortunately I cannot quit as I have bills to pay . But everyday I just feel stuck . It’s the worse feeling ever.

Specific chore assignments, an idea I got from another person's video, tackles one dilemma that everyone seems to have. A roommate who doesn't clean well could be assigned the PERMANENT duty of taking the garbage out and/or mowing the lawn. Assign permanent job duties (except for, of course, dishes and laundry); specific duties that they/each can do and/or understand.

I have a dorm mate who’s just self absorbed. She doesn’t communicate, she’ll go home for the weekend without saying anything about how long, if she’s bringing anyone in when she comes back, whatever. She’ll give me like a 1 minute heads up text for guests, and has let a whole middle aged man into our room while I was fresh out of the shower changing. I try to say hi/bye, and let her know when I’m leaving for most of a day, have conversations, but she’s a brick wall. I’m also generally a really clumsy person and I have accidentally hurt myself so many times and I’ll be cursing and bleeding and she just 😒 at me and go back to her tv show or her 7th phone call of the hour. Which sucks because you can’t set rules about your roommate not caring.
