Should you do this to any model your installing the dampeners in, or is it specific to the Raw 580/ Raw 700 Nitro/ Piuma considering they use the same head block. I installed some in my Nimbus 550 and ordered another set for my Tron 7.0 and Raw 700 nitro. They were pretty difficult to fit in the Nimbus and now I'm considering getting new O-rings after seeing this video and making sure to groove them out the second time around.

Excellent video, I seem to be able to follow the push around the disc but still nervous to try on my actual heli, Thinking of trying a larger push and not the rotating right stick first with a slow rotation to try and hit that synchronisation point.

I just don't get why we don't use a full steel rod with a carbon fiber sheath on the outside for rigidity. No glue, no complex engineering that is susceptible to user error and or damage. Just a plain ol' steel rod with threaded ends is simply tried and true, durable and anyone can assemble effortless in a minute and go fly.
@johnahamelvАй бұрын
I personally use Blue Loctite 243 on the threads, but no, I do not use epoxy, or JB Weld, or CA glue to bond the metal ends to the carbon rod.
@ericdraaijers6606Ай бұрын
Hello Auggie, Is the carbon not cracking, because its a verry rigid material?
@johnahamelvАй бұрын
The carbon rod ends WILL split and deform a bit when using these reusable "push rod ends". This is not an issue whatsoever as far as safety and performance of this assembled unit. It would become an issue if you were for some reason wanting to use the carbon rod itself in another project. In other words, the assembled push rods ends could be unassembled and be used in other projects, but not the carbon rod itself unless you saw off the "damaged" ends.
@auggiecopterАй бұрын
What John Hamel said is correct. They will split in the ends but because it doesn't allow expansion in the straig portion this split doesn't travel further out

Is there a way to convert regular switch to momentary?
@auggiecopter3 ай бұрын
If you look at the video you can see that the way to ptrevent the full switching is by preventing the full swing so that the rocker will rest fully with the piston pushing to keep it in place. If you solder a piece of metal to the contact that’s connected to the wire so that the rocker won’t swing fully you will have restored it but at that point it’s probably easier to just order a replacement.

Ih, I purchased your os gasre converter box . I have an Ikon brain and a futaba rx and tx16ix. My Ikon sees the RPM signal. But I can't get it to pass the RPM signal over to my transmitter. And my rx Tell lametri capable. I see my temp signal and my battery voltage.
@auggiecopter3 ай бұрын
That’s not related to the rpm sensor. If your ikon can see the rpm it means the sensor is working correctly. Now you will need to connnect it to the futaba receiver to be able to send the telemetry to your futaba transmitter.

Me again Auggie! Quick question. I installed the xguard dampeners the other day. I rounded the edges like you also. I used the kraken 580 dampeners since the raw 580 uses the same head. I didn’t need that much force to install them. Is this ok? They were not hard at all to slide in with the grease. Thanks

I have flown it at 900 RPMs and it flys fine but it's not what I was looking for. I was looking for a way to replace my nitros. Having quick cyclics and long flight times and this heli is the perfect solution for that. I'm not into the super low head speed stuff, I'm into manuvers like those in the video.
