I personally use Blue Loctite 243 on the threads, but no, I do not use epoxy, or JB Weld, or CA glue to bond the metal ends to the carbon rod.

Hello Auggie, Is the carbon not cracking, because its a verry rigid material?

The carbon rod ends WILL split and deform a bit when using these reusable "push rod ends". This is not an issue whatsoever as far as safety and performance of this assembled unit. It would become an issue if you were for some reason wanting to use the carbon rod itself in another project. In other words, the assembled push rods ends could be unassembled and be used in other projects, but not the carbon rod itself unless you saw off the "damaged" ends.

What John Hamel said is correct. They will split in the ends but because it doesn't allow expansion in the straig portion this split doesn't travel further out

I just don't get why we don't use a full steel rod with a carbon fiber sheath on the outside for rigidity. No glue, no complex engineering that is susceptible to user error and or damage. Just a plain ol' steel rod with threaded ends is simply tried and true, durable and anyone can assemble effortless in a minute and go fly.
