I own Serum ,Pigments, Phaseplant and now Falcon. I'll gladly never use the other three and just stick with Falcon if I had the choice. I'm not some sound designer or some technical guy but I find Falcon sounds way better with Presets and its functionality. It's really not even close with other Soft Synths. I also expected my CPU to warm me up rest of the winter but its doesn't hog it up like Pigments and Phaseplant does.

I get it but IMO if you cut too much of the original sounds, it loses that uniqueness of the sounds. I think it's natural. ying yang, we need it even we think we don't need it.

I have Repro and Arturia and I think I don’t need another Prophet emulation. What needs to be considered is that if you get the u-he, it also includes an excellent emulation of the Pro-One and, as usual with u-he, they have very good presets

favorite producer for me is Culprate, the synth looks really, really interesting!

Thank you Alex They all sound pretty good - I'd be happy to use them all. All had a good filter, very similar. From the perspective of recording or playing live ( & not accuracy ), I'd choose A, D, B - a definite last would be C. A has a very strong initial envelope and a solid tone D also has a strong tone. B was very similar to D but with a slightly less solid tone at the end. C had the weakest tone post filter, along with very slight pitch rise over time. In perspective, these are all only slight differences, that could probably easily be compensated for.

I have drifter one of their other synths and it’s great but this one is overpriced. I think they are pricing high so they can make their monthly offer sound better value and also testing. So if they sell or not the test kind of works because tests are about finding something out. Anyway as much as I like Yum Audio and would buy this for 50% of the price I won’t be buying this one for now. Which is a shame because I sure as heck want it!

It's a very common marketing tactic, like Arturia's synth prices making it seem the bundle is always the better option

Cherry Audio is Arturia wo the extra funding sort of. Nothing like Pigments kind of stuff tho’ They Cherry folks are super nice and the main dev is a HUGE vintage synth nerd. Wait! Maybe they’re more like GForce as their founder Dave is ALSO a huge synth nerd. So yup I don’t need any more emulation atm. Looking to get to the next thing, but MAYBE if I made a P11… you know… it goes to 11! 😂

Softube wins always, never been impressed with the accuracy of Cherry or Arturia, also a blind test is useless if you aren't comparing it to the real thing

Why useless? It's not a blind test to know which one sounds more analog, but which one you prefer

This synth is probably one of the new ones, that will will see in V Collection 11 in May '25, along with some older synth vst rewrites and maybe a new modular synth model that incorporates some parts from their different existing instruments - imo.
@AlexReidStudios21 сағат бұрын
@@VentureNW I don't know, the Prophet inside the collection is already solid
@VentureNW20 сағат бұрын
@@AlexReidStudios It really doesn't sound like the original though... sort of a hybrid, imo. Their VS-V seemed a bit cheap to me, but then again, it was pretty cheap, for a hw digital synth. Still would like to see the sound engine improved, in the vst.
