I now have the same problem with my Hyundai Accent 2007 . The EPS suddenly didn’t work while I’m in the middle of the highway. Thank God I still managed to drive home safely. When I turned off and on the engine the EPS worked again. Will doing this fix the problem?

Bro i have a kia it's EPS when I turn little bit for the right side only at a certain angle the steering make unusual sound like something is grinding inside and when i complete turning it the sound disappears, What is the problem ?? Is it tourqe scensor?

Change it when it dies. You can still steer when it dies but it’s a lot harder. You need to use your muscles. For men it’s not a problem. Women will have a hard time steering because they are weaker. It’s not a necessary component, it’s a luxury component.

This is very common with old 1.5 crdi engines. Get injectors tested and calibrated. 90% is a faulty injector. Rarely the hand priming pump is culprit. It's always better to hook in a diagnostic tool and check injection parameters
