The Constellation that is described in revelation occurs routinely every year.. the correct translation and thought in OT and NT for what was in the sky was a hard firmament NOT "sky" or empty expanse. the magi would have to know more than the Constellation occurrence to know the actual birth of christ as well. u can use an app like stelarium to see the Constellation at 3bc. I believe the magi were not following the Constellation which were seen annually, rather an actual supernatural star that was placed by God. Mike also doesnt believe there were actual dinosaurs in OT era such as the leviathan or behemoth and thinks its metaphor. ALOT of speculation and preconceived notions in this theory.

Orthodox Christian history in the apostolic constitutions, Saint John Chrysostrum, and St. Clement of Alexandria (2nd Century) record that the date of the birth of Jesus goes back to the time of the apostles, who knew Jesus personally, and certainly would have known his birthdate. It would have been celebrated by his family annually, but even if Jesus didn't have birthday festivities, John cared for Mary, and he would have known. It's silly to think Mary didn't know Jesus' birthdate. The date is not really in question by anyone who reads the early Church fathers. December 25th, or January 7th, depending on whether the Julian or Gregorian calendar is used. Protestants always try to change the dates. I guess they're too lazy to read the Church fathers, some of whom were disciples of the disciples.

This is dusgusting material. It should have been left buried with the perverse philosopher who wrote it. To say that this was what was in Paul’s head when he wrote 1 Corinthians 11 is ludicrous. The Holy Spirit was in Paul’s head, not the Jews writing of a Greek philosopher who liked to discuss sexual issues. The Holy Spirit never inspired anyone to write about this kind of lewdness. Credible scholars don’t discuss in with salacious detail either. What practical benefit could ever be derived from discussing o or propagating this material? What a waste of time.

If the virgin actually means Israel and not Mary, then wouldn’t the reference to a the constellation actually mean Aries instead of Virgo, since Aries was representative of Israel in those days?

54:48 They came 2 years later on the same day to celebrate his birthday, which is why they brought gifts. This ties birthday celebrations, baby "showers", Easter, and Jesus birthdate which is in Spring. April "showers" are just after 3/28 especially with a lunar calendar.

52:42 It's 9/11 but not September 11. 9/11 refers to JB(18)or 9(11 being the two pillars Jachin Boaz). The 9 IS 11. The 3 is the third pillar, the Ionic pillar.

Ridiculous. This was nonsense when it was floated by immoral Greek philosophers and perverts, and it is ridiculous now. It is of no benefit to understanding the culture of the day because the vast majority of Christians or pagans did not believe or even know what the perverts were thinking or teaching. To say that Paul was thinking this when he wrote 1 Cor 11:5 is insane. Your comment “to the pure all things are pure” in this context, is laughable. There is nothing pure or accurate about this description. Any Bible “scholar” who would publicly float this perverse nonsense is messed up. Anyone who does not think it is grotesque to discuss on a mixed, public forum is messed up. And Heiser puts it in Paul’s head! 😂He lost his mind in extra-biblical La-La-Land. And, leave it to Heiser to tie this to his Enochian “Watcher” worldview. This nonsense should have been buried with the educated perverts who propagated it - and it should not be resurrected by “scholars” who like to think on and talk about such things. False and/or perverse teaching can leave you with shipwrecked faith - and a contaminated conscience.

I found that if advertisement comes up, I just close the video and open it again and the add is gone and no more ads appear during video. Not sure that the same will work fr you, but here in South Africa a few of us have been doing that and it works. Also, one must understand that one of the main reasons why people put things on KZbin is for fund raising, so in the case of videos of dr Heiser, who has passed already, but his ministry is continuing and to enable it to continue, one should plough back into the effort for making this video. Lets not always want everything for free.

Listened and read so I could help people who don’t understand the danger of a higher criticism liberal masquerading as a conservative scholar. Heieser caused a lot of people to question the authority of Scripture. Most who share his teachings don’t invest the time to discover how flawed his theology is. Most don’t even realize he attended two of the most liberal universities in the nation. I have yet to meet anyone who bothered to take note that the first citation in Unseen Realm says that “unless otherwise noted, all scripture references are from the Lexham English Bible - his translation from 2012 when he was academic scholar in residence at the publisher: Logos. Few notice how fast and loose he is with interpretation, twisting meanings, or “eisigesing” a text to make it say what he wants it to. He got his Divine Council Worldview from ancient Near Eastern literature and brought it to the Bible. He should have a PhD in eisegesis. Finally, I Ibecame familiar enough with his teaching to motivate others, more qualified than I, to review and critique his material. I can only hope that my efforts will prevent a few from getting lost in extra-biblical La-La-Land - or from walking around imagining testicles on womens’ heads. 😮
@ronsutton670

You don’t need a word picture of testicles on a woman’s head to understand culture or history. It shocks me that anyone would even try to defend such a perverse assertion. What practical benefit could never result from this crude and pathetic teaching. Heiser lost his mind in extra-biblical La-La-Land! This is the most ludicrous teaching I have heard in 50 years of education and worldwide ministry!

Couple quick notes: 1. This is not Michael Heiser's theory. This is him disseminating the scholar's article information, since most non-scholar Christians don't have access such articles. 2. The theory itself is based on other Greek documentation of the use of the word in the passage. 3. Medical understanding of the time (BASED on this theory) would mean, people could have seen long hair of a woman as having a role in sexual function. 4. As with many of Heiser's other topics, this is meant to highlight variations in potential meaning. He doesn't present it as a doctrine, but something worth considering. If it doesn't make sense, or you feel it is contrary to other scripture, or you cannot fathom that the Holy Spirit would allow biblical writers to use their own faulty world views or otherwise in writing, then That is Okay! The point is to recognize that there are a lot of things that people don't realize about the original language, culture and history that sometimes doesn't get considered. If you don't agree with other viewpoints on possible interpretations, then stand firm on what you do believe, but remember to defend the faith, and Christ with love and respect so that scripture itself is fulfilled by saying that the world will know us by our love. This comment section is embarrassing and hardly reflective of fruitful discussion or kindness, let alone love.

Very well spoken....As Muchael said these were not written by Billy Bob....It makes sense that according to the culture,science ,medical .of the time that this could be an explanation of the issue.And if you dont think so don't devalue the writers.Same as with slavery in scriptures. Noone would say it's good to buy a slave these days and he should submit to you for the cause of Christ,but it's in the Word.Is the Word inherent because culture,meaning has changed with time.Or the fact that there is not such book of James in the Bible...it was actually Jacob(in hebrew Yacov)King James had his name put in there...But we don't throw the book of James out...We really need the Holy Spirit to teach us and not rely on our own filters which can be faulty...many things we don't understand and yet in pride or ignorance want to be Billy Bob scholars.

The beginning could of been told to the Hominides under the pride of Satan, He getting what he wants here, in this way. Control. Going from grunts and sounds to words and logic taking how long? The Creator using evil for good shows us how He used him to do all of the work here. Evil forms when satan burns over it again and again remembering all that he did. Let us create man in our own image shows the Eons change perhaps? The devil shows up in the garden in a made form. the Garden comes when? If you think about it the Garden of Eden is our only good thing here?

Reading the Old Testament is awesome because ofvall ofvthe ancient history we get to actualy read while the Author(s). look on. Why dont people talk about the dragon and hydra of the oceans back then? That God slayed it! Wow. At times it seems that the people back then didnt have Genesis untill when? Does King David have it? I think a version maybe?
