I cut 3 different types of wood and osb with a Diablo blade meant for wood with nails. Cut great. Very clean, buttery smooth

I do punch list work now, not really in frames. Just a feature I noticed on the boxes. Never found a belt I liked for organizing that many screws anyway. But if I'm just driving nails or screws of 1 kind all day, I'll put the belt on
@masonb11002 жыл бұрын
@@Jake_Kern that is very true! I only use the tool belt if it’s all same screws or nails. This still is a nice little trick/hack though!
@Jesse-gv9tf3 жыл бұрын
or you can put a hand full of screws or nails in your tool belt pouch. lol
@Jake_Kern3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, did that for awhile. I gotta use a few different types during the day and my belt never held enough. I could dump em all in but I'd stand there sifting through them. This is what I used to use. I do punch lists mostly now so I don't even end up having to carry fasteners with me anymore but being able to hang the little boxes is still nice in my home shop

Maybe if they stopped making out with their 18 volt system and introduced higher voltage systems, it could compete with dewalt 😂
@Jake_Kern3 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, this is a nice tool but DeWalt absolutely smokes it. The 12inch dual power is the best jobsite Miter Saw on the market. I'm already on Milwaukee's platform so this is what I went with. But that's the dream saw, the DeWalt 12"
@legendarypillow14503 жыл бұрын
@@Jake_Kern absolutely. I appreciate what Milwaukee is trying to do but it’s not holding up to any standards or outperforming any other systems. I’d like to see them make 40 or 56 volt systems in the near future.
@christophercrawford27363 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, Milwaukee keeps up with and outperforms Dewalt in many tools. But I think the 60volt system from Dewalt draws less amps so it’s easier on the motor. I might be wrong about that.
@legendarypillow14503 жыл бұрын
@@christophercrawford2736 I just don’t appreciate what Milwaukee charges and what you get, it just isn’t worth every dime. With dewalt I only paid 126 for a new hammer drill that is faster and more affordable than Milwaukee’s hammer drill. Same with dewalt’s 1/2 impact wrench, sawzall, and their circular saw. Dewalt’s flexvolt miter saw destroys the Milwaukee, on top of everything else. What really dissatisfied and disappointed me was back when I paid 200 dollars for a brushed Milwaukee drill that broke within a year. And I mean like BROKE broke. With dewalt, I only paid 99 dollars for a brushless drill that came with 2 batteries and a charger, and survived a 10 foot fall from a ladder. What Milwaukee always does as a way to get people to buy their impact wrenches is saying that “they have more torque” which is true but they aren’t as fast and efficient. Listen, I may be biased because I work with wood more, but even so dewalt proves to be better in many areas compared to Milwaukee. I used to love Milwaukee tools, but they disappointed me while dewalt didn’t, which is why I made the switch. Yeah, you got it, higher voltage and lower amps is better for the motor.
@christophercrawford27363 жыл бұрын
@@legendarypillow1450 I haven’t bought into Milwaukee’s M18 tools so I’ll just have to trust you on that. I’ve only ever bought Dewalt so that’s all I know.

@@legendarypillow1450 I've never actually seen that one, but I would definitely like to see how it stacks up against this saw. That's crazy, I can't imagine that being able to cut anything bigger than like 4 inch base. my buddy got the new 7 1/4 from Ryobi and it's a phenomenal trim saw when you throw a Diablo blade on it

@@repobud1 honestly I almost regret getting the 10 inch. I could easily get 80-90% of my cuts done with a 7 1/4. But for now I only have the space for one saw so I went with a 10 so I can cut posts when I need to.

Suggestion: glue a strong flag magnet (or a few small neodymium magnets) to the side of the box. It'll still fit in the case, and you can just slap it against any steel surface. Looks like there's quite a few around the job site at a decent height.
@Jake_Kern3 жыл бұрын
That's definitely a decent idea. I really only have 1 or 2 HVAC lines that are steel in theses units. So unless I slap em to the stud shoes or something else that I put up as well. Maybe I can make a magnet that has a screw hole for faster mounting IDK.
