Using the Milwaukee 10" Cordless Miter saw on the CP 2.0 Battery. it's the smallest battery Milwaukee offers besides the CP 1.5. Milwaukee recommends at least at High Output 8.0, and the saw definitely suffers with this tiny battery. but hey it'll still work and that is pretty impressive.

The old blue Ryobi actually had a 7 1/4 inch battery-powered chop saw. Wasn't popular but it existed.

That's crazy, I can't imagine that being able to cut anything bigger than like 4 inch base. my buddy got the new 7 1/4 from Ryobi and it's a phenomenal trim saw when you throw a Diablo blade on it

@@Jake_Kern I keep a 7 1/4 Kobalt slider on the truck it'll cut 10 inches does 95% of what I need it to do

@@repobud1 honestly I almost regret getting the 10 inch. I could easily get 80-90% of my cuts done with a 7 1/4. But for now I only have the space for one saw so I went with a 10 so I can cut posts when I need to.

Maybe if they stopped making out with their 18 volt system and introduced higher voltage systems, it could compete with dewalt 😂

Oh yeah, this is a nice tool but DeWalt absolutely smokes it. The 12inch dual power is the best jobsite Miter Saw on the market. I'm already on Milwaukee's platform so this is what I went with. But that's the dream saw, the DeWalt 12"

@@Jake_Kern absolutely. I appreciate what Milwaukee is trying to do but it’s not holding up to any standards or outperforming any other systems. I’d like to see them make 40 or 56 volt systems in the near future.

In my opinion, Milwaukee keeps up with and outperforms Dewalt in many tools. But I think the 60volt system from Dewalt draws less amps so it’s easier on the motor. I might be wrong about that.

@@christophercrawford2736 I just don’t appreciate what Milwaukee charges and what you get, it just isn’t worth every dime. With dewalt I only paid 126 for a new hammer drill that is faster and more affordable than Milwaukee’s hammer drill. Same with dewalt’s 1/2 impact wrench, sawzall, and their circular saw. Dewalt’s flexvolt miter saw destroys the Milwaukee, on top of everything else. What really dissatisfied and disappointed me was back when I paid 200 dollars for a brushed Milwaukee drill that broke within a year. And I mean like BROKE broke. With dewalt, I only paid 99 dollars for a brushless drill that came with 2 batteries and a charger, and survived a 10 foot fall from a ladder. What Milwaukee always does as a way to get people to buy their impact wrenches is saying that “they have more torque” which is true but they aren’t as fast and efficient. Listen, I may be biased because I work with wood more, but even so dewalt proves to be better in many areas compared to Milwaukee. I used to love Milwaukee tools, but they disappointed me while dewalt didn’t, which is why I made the switch. Yeah, you got it, higher voltage and lower amps is better for the motor.

@@legendarypillow1450 I haven’t bought into Milwaukee’s M18 tools so I’ll just have to trust you on that. I’ve only ever bought Dewalt so that’s all I know.

So you're impressed a tool could do exactly what it was designed for?

I'm impressed at how far battery technology and electric motors have come in the past decade. There was no way that you could expect this in the era of Ni-Cad batteries and brushed motors.

@@Jake_Kern except ryobi did it 😂

@@legendarypillow1450 I've never actually seen that one, but I would definitely like to see how it stacks up against this saw. I'm still blown away with the 12v brushless drills and whatever from Milwaukee. I have the blue Ryobi stuff at home, and when I started in the trades about a year ago it was just absolutely not up to the daily abuse.
