Thank you for your video! in 5:00 the word haben requires accusative and not nominative if I am not mistaken?

Hallo! You’re correct - ‘ein großes Haus’ is accusative, because it is the direct object (i.e. the thing the parents have). The relative pronoun is still ‘die’ (nominative) because the parents are the ones who have the big house. I hope that clarifies! 🙏🏼
@yahyataki6994Күн бұрын
@@HerrFerguson Yes that's right! I caught that afterwards. "Die" is in nominative but "ein großes Haus" is in accusative. It's much clearer now. Many thanks for your efforts!

I do believe the plural form in this section 12:10 is a little bit misleading. For indefinite plural nominative and accusative forms, adjective takes -e. But it looks like, they always take -en. The table excludes the certain situations when we don’t use any articles. Example: 1) Nominativ: Neue Autos sind schnell. (Not neuen) 2) Accusativ: Ich sehe neue Autos. (Not neuen) For plural words, adjective takes “-en” only in case of Negativ- and Possiveartikel (for nominativ and accusative). Example: 1) Nominativ: Meine neuen Autos sind schnell. (Not neue) 2) Accusativ: Ich sehe keine neuen Auto. (Not neue) What do you think? I hope I explained my question well.
@HerrFerguson24 күн бұрын
Hi, the question makes sense, but is not correct for indefinite articles. Indefinite article plural adjectives end in -en in both nominative and accusative. You’re talking about ‘no article’ sentences, e.g. We have young children (not ‘a young children’ or ‘the young children’) This is explained at 15:56. Hope that helps!
