ILove Q acoustic concept 30, it has this wonderful, smooth upper end that touches my soul while playing Jazz tracks. While Buchardt S400 mk2 for favorite vocal songs. Both are good but for everyday music, I prefer buchardt.

Awesome, one of my favorite test tracks. Sounds very close to my JBL L112’s with A8, Denafrips DAC with Class D amp. I’ve been looking at Buchardt S400’s as alternative medium room and I think this just did it for me!

Hi, May I ask, my localish dealer recommends spending most ££ on speakers. Obviously your Buchards is not the most expensive in your system. You’re obviously happy with them, how do they compare to others. I have audio physic avanti speakers, but something not quite right, been intrigued with buchards, the avantis more than double the cost, your thoughts would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Hi. First of All, I am not professional audiophile. My thoughts would be irrelevant since Listening to music is just a Hobby of mine. But I can say a few things about my system. My system is all about the mid range. I choose Buchardt speakers simply because of beautiful male vocals it produces. And I can listen to music many hours without listening fatigue. Low end is always present with Buchardt speakers, I mean deep bass. You know what I mean. Go try Buchardt A700 floor mount speaker since your speaker is also floor mount. Go try it and compare and if you don’t like it just return it within 45days.

Found your channel as I have the R8 which I just received haven’t tube rolled or anything yet , But the DENAFRIPS ares 12-1 is on its way to me along w the iris 12 ddc and tekton double impacts,fluance 85 , looking fwd to hooking iris up via i2s port to ares 12 , I was wondering if you could recommend specific Supra cables you like for interconnects thanks loving your music choices I’m building my playlist lol

Little brighter on the top end. My Honest opinion, much better mids and lows. More smoother spectrum overall. Easy to listen. I like it.

Nice to see the setup, really nice. But, I wish you guys would stop playing us music and making us jealous. There is a serious side to my point. Room acoustics make or break the experience end enjoyment more than any money you can spend. Likewise out experience of your system. So please don’t. Talk to us about it, much more fun!

I really like this amp. It is still burning in my case about 75 hours with Tung Sol EL34B and Tung Sol 6SL7 and I love the midrange. It is smooth and enjoyable for long listening sessions. I prefer TS EL34B over stock Willsenton KT88. My question is does driver tubes 6SN7 impact the sound signature and what do you prefer for output tubes EL34 or KT88 for R8?
