I know what you mean. It can be addictive, buying all of those hair greases. I have a collection of hair grease and I don't see anything wrong with it. If you are a collector of hair products, like I am, don't feel guilty. Just buy it. We like what we like. My hair is locked up, now and I still won't get rid of my favorite loose-natural hair products. 😁

Sulfate shampoo can be your friend you have to put the moisture back in after washing to kill product buildup use deep conditioner and water and for a silent grease for my high porosity hair to not lose your moisture

And oh use a deep conditioner that you can use as a leave in so the moisture locks in then use grease

@Fearlessly-Kristen Hi, Kristen. I separate my locs in between retwists. I don't wait til wash day to separate them at the base. I don't wet them down, to do it. I separate them while they are dry. It's not good to do it while it's dry, but, by me separating them at least twice a month, they are not too matted together. My hair is not super kinky, which makes pulling them apart a lot easier. It's part of my maintenance system. I separate them on wash day, too. While they are drying, I make sure they are not matting together. I have to do it, regularly, because, lately, I have not been keeping a regular retwist schedule. I do have a few that I have to take a little extra time to separate and clean the parts, but it's very easy. I have a tendency to separate them really hard on the right backside of my head. I think it's because my hair untwists, itself, in that area and I don't realize it. So, I need to lift my locs row by row, to make sure all are in their place. I had to do it the next day after I did this retwist a couple of days, ago. I naturally miss that area and I don't know why. 😳 Thank you for your compliment and comment. 💓

Hi, Kanon! Yes, they are healthy and thick. I guess becuz I don't do much with them. I just let them be. No, I do not have a loc length goal, like I did with my loose natural hair. I sort of like them at this length or higher, because they are starting to feel heavy and get caught in my purse strap, across my shoulder. Can you imagine, if my locs were loose, how long they would be? Whoa! 😯

Heeey, Kitty! No, I don't think it's food. I believe it's genetics. I just learned how to retain all of my length vs when I was younger, I didn't know. I've always had lengthy, shoulder length hair, but never knew how to take care of it. So, when I turned 42 years old, I challenged, myself, to learn how to take care of my hair and grow it long. Now, that I'm in my 50's, it's easy caring for my hair and keeping it healthy. Healthy hair grows long.😊
