I honestly wasn't aware the song was remixed in the different stages. I've played DKCR multiple times and honestly didn't notice. Before today I would've just told you it was the same song for all of them. Yet again the song being called Gear Getaway in Smash now makes sense as I just called it Rocket Barrel theme.

This better be in the DK roller coaster in Universal.

I remember how much I hated these levels at first because of how difficult they were, but their theme always helped me get through them, I didn't even mind losing a life because this theme would encourage me to try again, even if I couldn't listen to the whole thing afterwards, now they are my favorite levels in the whole game, I remember all the times I revisited them, even if I had already mastered them [I even kicked Tiki Tong more than once, which was very easy for me compared to the obstacles to get to it xd] *Edit:* I'm editing this because I forgot to write one more thing, every time I started one of these levels, I enjoyed activating the Rocket Barrel, as if chaos was really going to start, and also, I personally loved that they paid homage to it in The Mario Movie, one of my favorite moments [it's a small detail, I know, but I spent I don't know how many years playing those levels over and over again, I couldn't feel a hard hit of nostalgia when I saw that scene]

I just realized that Blurry Flurry is a mix between Mole Patrol and Crowded Cavern.

This popped up in my recommendations today, and hooolly crap this is such a step up from the original, despite really only being two minutes long, it's like you rebuilt it from the ground up to make an even better version.

I love the Reckless ride stage so much because the robot matches with what the penguin does with the levers and buttons and its so good!

something I never realized during my initial playthrough of Tropical Freeze is that all the levels on DK Island are based on Worlds from Returns. Something that definitely caught my eye, though, was the giant bat that had been such an annoyance years earlier frozen solid in the background of Blurry Flurry. I actually kinda felt bad for it despite how STUPIDLY ANNOYING it had been in Returns

I've always loved the Rocket Barrel. I started DK's games with Returns. I imagined, "this thing has got to be SO dangerous" and the song used reflects it! A catchy melody that can sound a bit dire at times, backed with intense backing chords. The games revel in the chaos as Rocket Barrel stages fall apart around DK. I really love the portion from 6:54 to 7:10 as the buildup from Blurry Flurry pays off with the mania of the 3-way chorus!

10/10 absoutely amazing medley you even cared enough to include the calmer versions of the song at the end of the levels! you left no stone unturned! your efforts deserve a million views!
