So sorry for such damage. Heartbreaking at the moment, but those old trees do cause concerns in urban settings! On bright side…more air, light and enough trees left. Mother Nature has her own timetable for pruning. I always hated the cleanup - I have 20 acres of park like property to deal with when she decides to throw her hissy fits 😖😆
@MomijiEn13 күн бұрын
I love how you look at things :) Yes we just need to deal with it and look on the positive side & keep going :) wow 20 acres!!

I was out of town on the actual day that storm hit, and had only a small amount of damage. My place is in a very windy spot, but everywhere else seems to have gotten it far worse than me this time

It is a pain to see that tree down and it is more pain when I saw the damage that they create it. This is Nature...we must accept it like it is. Greetings from Romania.

@@MomijiEnA couple of years ago a microburst took down the telephone pole plus transformer in my backyard . The power lines were snapped. My bonsai are right there. The pole's fall was stopped by two heavy cables lower down on the pole. The pole stopped only a foot or two above three of my best and oldest trees. I was shocked. Since the power was out I did go and move the trees and the bench so repair crews could replace the pole. No power for three days. So sorry for what happened to you. So disheartening. You will recover..

Absolutely love your videos and the Japanese maples.. I have a question I am new to air layering when you remove the bark for the air layer is it necessary to scratch the white part free of all the cambium and second when is the best time to harvest the air layering thanks any help would be appreciated
@MomijiEn2 ай бұрын
Thank you! From my experience, it's helpful to remove it completely. If you do air layering in March, you can harvest as soon as July if its got lots of roots or if you air layer in May/June, most likely you can separate them in September/early Oct if you see enough roots.
